The Life Of Mark Bowden

Mark Bowden was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1951. He grew up in three different states. They were Illinois, New York, and Maryland. He graduated from Loyola college of Maryland in 1973. He got his B.A. in English literature. He teaches journalism and creative writing at his Alma matter Loyola College of Maryland. He now lives in southeastern Pennsylvania. He is married to Gail Louis McLaughlin and they have fivechildren. Their names are Aaron, Anya, William, Daniel, and Benjamin. Mark Bowden wrote several books such as Black Hawk Down, Killing Pablo, Doctor Dealer, Bringing the Heat, Our Finest Day, and Finders Keepers. He received The Overseas Press Club Award for two of his books. The two books he won the awards for were Black Hawk Down and Killing Pablo.Mark Bowden has written for the New Yorker, Sports Illustrated and The New York Times. He was a reporter and a columnist for The Philadelphia Inquired for many years. For Black Hawk Down, he worked as a consultant and screenwriter on the film version. Now he is working on a dreamworks adaptation of Killing Pablo. He was a winner for many awards such as Best Newspaper Writing, American Society, Newspaper Editors, and life in the project. He also recieved one for science writing from Sunday Magazine editors in 1987 for Finders Keepers. His book, Bringing The Heat, was named best sports books on 1994 by the New York Times. From this day he is still working his articles and different versions.
