Avoiding
                  PKers

1.  Always be aware who enters and leaves the screens you are fighting on.  You can use the - and + on your number pad to zoom in and out on your map.

2.  If you are guilded (which you might want to hold off if you can't really protect yourself yet) you can be attacked in towns.  A lot of the PKers now are guilded so they will be able to PK you in town as well.
If you aren't guilded the second you step through any city gate you are safe from them.

3.  However if you choose to join a guild anyway and you have the invite option you can use this to see who is on screen for when you are fighting and a blue dot enters.

4.  Unless you have detect invisible enchantment you will not see a blue dot for any inviso that enters.  So you should always fight with your back to a wall or place where an inviso cannot sneak up on you without you seeing.   It is kind of a pain in the rear at first to manuvuer the creature you are fighting so you have a clear view of anyone who may approach you while invisible, but with a little practice it becomes second nature.   *Note: Dispel Illusion scrolls will take off an invisible enchantment but I would only do this in cases of emergencies. (Not all inviso's are up to no good.  Some are at war etc. and are invis for their own personal safety.)

5.  Fight in places where PKers don't normally hunt.  If you don't know where these places are then ask someone you trust who is familiar with the game.

6.  Another safeguard is if you are poisoned, try to get to someplace where nothing is going to be attacking you til the poison wears off.
Poison can take you as low as 1 hit point but will not kill you by itself.
And it will wear off so don't broadcast you need someone to cure your poison because there are only a few places spiders roam and it wouldn't take much for a PKer to find you.

7.  If you are attacked by a PKer and feel that you don't have enough hitpoints to either fight him or were already low on hit points when he attacked you, alt f4 will log you faster than any other way.  Trying to click on the x at the top of page when you're in a panic is hard to do...just alt f4 and log on your alternate character and broadcast the location of where you were logged by PKers.  Hopefully there will be hunters on to assist you so you can log back on safely.
Make sure you know it is safe before you log back on though.
However, If you still have most of your hit points and think you can stand up to him turn around and use whatever you have to try and kill or log him.

8.  Make a send group of all the PKers on the server.  For example, if you were to call the send group "Pkers", you would just type "ag pkers" and it would give you a list of the people in that group with the players who are currently online highlighted in red.  So at least you will have an idea of which pkers are on.

9.  Plate armor and Knight Shields magnify damage from Faren and
Qor attack spells.  So try not to wear plate and KS unless you have
enough hit points to take some damage (at least over 50).   Neru Armor is good and gives great protection (better than scale) and doesn't
magnify the spell damage.   It drops frequently on the island and
usually laying around any screen anyone is fighting avars on.

That is about all I can think of for now...will post more as I think of them.  Be safe.
