| The Riija Sword Quest can be a real pain in the neck or a simple four step quest depending on how your luck is running. Having done the quest several times myself and helped others do it numerous times I know it can take from a mere half hour to a couple of hours. The running back and forth etc is a real time burner so if the quest is done in the right order you can avoid a lot of the running back and forth. First of all you need to bring an orc pit boss head with you. If you can't get one on your own, ask me on either server and I will help you get one. But if you bring it with you before you start the quest you will undoubtibly save yourself some time and footwork. You will need a trucer and rescuer to help with the DFQ part of the quest. So so far, a pit boss head and a trucer/rescuer you need to bring with you. You will also need a meatpie, you can buy them at the guest house. As soon as you get to the island with the two things listed above have the trucer/rescuer run to the cliff hive to get a dragonfly queen to rescue back with while you run to the scientests hut and say "Kohuzotz" to him to trigger that part of the quest. The trucer can be taking the DFQueen to the Scientist while you are now running to the Bowmakers hut to say "Arrows" to her. Hopefully if luck is smiling upon you she will give you the "Trade an avar for something they find precious" quest instead of the "Kill an avar shaman for the feather" quest. If she gives you the "Kill an avar shaman for feather" quest and you are low hit points here is a way for you to do it: You can go to avar village and stand on the ledge away from the stairs so the avars don't come up after you. (Go to the right a ways down the cliff when you enter screen). Here you can use any type of damage wand. Fire wands are the only ones i've seen them shrug off. The slitherbolt/strike wands are great except they have about a four second delay between each use. Lightning wands are the best, you can rapid fire them for a quick kill. (If the trucer is still with you, you might want to have them keep the shaman dazzled while you are killing it so it doesn't earthquake and kill you). The first shaman you kill usually has the feather once you've triggered the quest. If she does indeed give you the "trade blah blah precious" quest you need to run to the jerkin salesman on the beach and say "Precious stones" to him so he will sell you a chunk of nerudite. Now you have a neru chunk and the pit boss head both on your person. If luck is still smiling upon you Xacal will be the guard because you need to bribe him with 1000 shills in order to smuggle the neru through the gate to the jungle. If Xacal isn't there you will need to wait for him. So if the trucer/rescuer has the DFQ to the scientist once you get through the gate, go feed the DFQ the meatpie and take her inside to the scientist and say "Kohuzotz" again and he will give you a shard. If they don't have the DFQ there by now then do this part afterward. Then go to the Bone Priestess and offer her the chunk of neru. She will give you a shaman feather. Then say "Riija" and she will say something like "Yak Yak Pit Boss Head! Yak yak!" which is when you offer her the head for another shard. Run back to the bowmakers hut and give her the shaman feather for another shard. Okay you should have three shards. Now the only part left is Wulfgangs where you will say "inventory" to him and he will ask you to bring him one of many things he asks for. It usually is something you will need to go to the mainland for unless you have a friend(s) who have elusion mules who can bring it to the island for you. But when you get what he asked for..take it to him, offer it and voila, he gives you a Riija sword. I know this sounds like its really time consuming but it really doesn't take long if, like I said before, luck is on your side. So good luck =) |

| Note: These are just tips to make it easier and maybe save some time. You can find more detailed parts of the quest at Gilroys site under Spells/Riija/Riija Sword Quest. You will need to get your karma above +10 for the Wulfgang part of quest. |
