|  ORANGE & RAISIN LOAF 12 SLICES
 ingredients
 
 225g.selfraising  flourMethodtsb. Bicarbonate of soda
 25g.lard
 25g.margarine
 100g. Caster sugar
 orange, grated rind and juice
 175g. Raisins
 milk
 
Heat oven to 1 60C, 325F, Gas Mark 3
 Grease and line the base of a 1kg (2 lb) loaf tin.
 
 	Mix flour and bicarbonate of soda, rubbing fats.
Mix in sugar orange rind and raisins.
Make the juice of the orange up to ½ pint, with milk and add to the dry ingredients. 
Mix well.
Place the mixture in the prepared tin and bake for about 1 hour, or till you put a clean knife in and it comes out clean, if it come out sticky leave for a few minutes more
