| HOME MINES OF BROKEN HILL The Line of Lode in Broken Hill has undergone a dramatic change over the years. At one time there were 13 or 14 mines along the Line of Lode, as well as smaller ones further out. Today, there is only one mine operating Pasmingo South which will be closing in the year 2006. Apart from a few relics, only memories – and pictures - remain of the early days. The Line of Lode from North to South extends a nominal 8 kilometres.
