| LIFE POST-BHI
I graduated in June 2004, so I haven't been out of school for too long. I currently attend Stern College - all I can say about it is that it's an interesting place. As of now I have decided to major in Occupational theory but we all know how quickly these decisions can change. I am also fortunate enough to be able to take Maalot classes every Friday. I started seminary a year later than most students, but what's bashert is bashert. I'm there now and I love it! In addition to college and "real learning" in Maalot, I also work for Res-hab, which is a great way to spend the little time that I have. BHI MEMORIES No matter what anyone says, college cannot in any way compare to high school. Be'er Hagolah felt like home, and college simply will never make it into that category. Dressing up like senior citizens and running through the halls just won't happen in college! As much as I appreciated BHI back then, I wish would have just sucked in all that air when I had the chance to, because now all I'm sucking in is that $200 perfume of the girl next to me. No matter where my life takes me, I will always owe a lot to BHI because it has taught me things you cannot learn from books; it is those lessons that to me are most important. THOUGHTS FOR MY FELLOW ALUMS It's sometimes hard to break away from what you're used to, but once you do, you will be able to see things in a different light, and you will be confident in your ability to stand on your own. Leaving high school is not so bad after all (I have realized), as long as you know who you are and which way you're headed. |
