| Life After BHI
After graduation, I went to college. My first impression was, "Oh wow, so many faces of different colors!" Everything was new to me. I felt like it was my first time seeing people who were different than me. I was curious to know about them and what they were like, and I was even more eager to tell them that I was a Jewish girl who went to an all-girls school. "Wow, all girls school? Jewish?" I gained a lot of respect and walked with my head up high. College was a whole new world to me, sometimes a world I wasn't prepared for. But I learned a lot from my family, my friends and BHI, and therefore I was okay. Now I still go to college and work at Kashmir Pharmacy (Ladies come in - I'll give you my employee discount. BHI uniform a must!). At this point in my life, this is not really what I had planned for myself. I was hoping I'd be at least engaged and working at some high-class office but SNAP OUT OF IT TAM! It's life, you have to take it slow, appreciate it and know that not everything goes according to plans. As for other developments - my hair is no longer blondish brown.......its black! Always up for some good change. Fondest BHI Memory I laugh because I have so many amazing memories of BHI. My friends and I who graduated from BHI still get together and talk about the Shabbatons and BHI parties. I'll never forget that our senior year, we were huge on prank calls! I mean we went from calling someone and telling them they left their fish at the market to telling them it's been 10 years since we saw each other. We laughed and laughed. Most the time we let them know it was us...I think. I Wish I Knew Then To really take in the good times. To appreciate the little parties and laughs. To have faith in G-d and believe that at times things can get really hard but he will never turn his back on his children. A Message to My Fellow Alums Appreciate everything life - love, people, fruits, food, books, school - everything! It's really amazing. Enjoy, live and laugh. On A Final Note Enough with all the serious stuff! How about some comics that will hopefully make you smile? Here they go... Between a couple: Wife: We should go camping this weekend. Husband: UGH. I hate camping! W: Then let's go hiking H: UGH. I hate hiking. W: Fine We'll go on a bike ride. H: No thanks. W: I thought you love all those activities. H: Joann, I can't be held responsible for anything I said on our first date. --------------------------------------------------------------------- W: What do you want to do you want to do for the 4th of July? H: Oh, I was planning on doing something with Marshall that weekend. W: But the 4th of July IS A COUPLES WEEKEND, Bradley. H: Then why do they call it Independence Day? QUESTIONS? COMMENTS?
