About Me

I'm a doctor practicing medicine in a small village, Naxalbari, in West Bengal, India. I always was interested in photography but it became a passion when I left school and started College.Since then, I've been happily clicking away for the last eighteen years. I'm an amateur photographer , though my photographs have appeared in the supplement pages of various newspapers,e.g.,Sanmarg, The Statesman, Amritabazaar, Jugantar,  Kalantar.etc. I started out with a Click III (Agfa) that I have with me still.My current equipment consists of- Bodies-Nikon FE,Nikon F80 Lenses-Nikon 50mm/1.8D AF            Nikon 28-80/3.5-4.5 D AF            Sigma 70-300/3.5-5.6 AF            Tamron 2xTC MF Compact--Samsung Vega70 (with 35-70mm                                                   Schnieder lens) Flashes-Nikon SB800,Vivitar2000B Tripod--Vivitar My favourite models are my wife Madhumita (also a doctor) who I've been shooting non-stop since I met her in college 17 yrs. back and my 2 yr. 8 mths old daughter Bristi.
