It kind of worries me to see someone from hawaii.edu visiting my site more than once a day. What's weird
is that the person always enters through my old homepage.
[Peruse it if you like...even though it is kind of embarassing at some points.]
I'm always worried that someone who knows me (and more importantly, dislikes me) will find my journal,
will see what I may have said about them at one point in time, and will then proceed to tear me to shreds. Ok, so maybe
nothing that extreme could happen, but its still kind of scary
Hawaii is such a small place and you'd be surprised how true the six degrees of separation theory really is.
Actually, I think in Hawaii its more like three degrees. Meet a person on the street and they will most
likely be a friend of so and so's friend from high school, or maybe the best friend of so and so's ex
girlfriend's roommate...etc etc. Its creepy.
I was reminded of this when I found I was linked by this one guy living in Hawaii. He referred to me
as someone who was checking out a guy who he happened to know. I had totally forgotten about the time he signed my gbook
or something and told me. I think I was also a bit worried back then that things I've said here would get out.
But in a sense, I kind of think its neat that we are all so connected.
That's not to say I want people I know in Hawaii or elsewhere to find this journal and get offended. I
mean, yes, I talk shit sometimes about people...but more often than not, its because they deserve to be
dragged through the mud a little. Its not like any of you haven't done it.
So in short, for anyone from Hawaii, or anywhere else in the world for that matter, I trust that you won't
go around telling people I'm talking about them if you so happen to know said people. Its only common
courtesy you know? I mean, its a give and take relationship we have here. I let you read my thoughts, you
keep your mouth shut, and I let you live. hehe.
But still..gosh, I miss hawaii.
love,
boohar mars
