Frick. My mom picks today of all days to start writing another one of her stupid articles...the one day this week that I've come
home early enough to write in here when I'm not tired. But now? Now I'm tired as hell so please excuse the shitty entry. It
really is my mom's fault. fuck.
I'm sorry, I really am. I was all prepared to write all about my last 4 days cuz its been a really long time since I've written
in here. Now I'm just irritated. Mianhae.
ANYWAY...I've been really busy the last few days due to summerfun and finale and everything so that's why it seemed as though
I had dropped off the face of the earth. But look! I'm back! Well, for today at least. heehee
Hrmm, monday was the HARDEST day I have ever had in my life I think. Ok, not my life, but for summerfun. None of my kids
were listening to me AT ALL. That day was the first day of practicing for finale with the entire summerfun. It was pure chaos
with erin's and my group together. Aish. I ended up crying twice throughout the whole day and I was just numb by the time 2pm
rolled around. Yes, it was that bad. Much boohar.
Tuesday was better. I think the kids hated me from Monday though. After summerfun was finale setup and I dunno...I was feeling
irked at first, but then after a while I felt really REALLY alienated from people. Like
Grant was off helping with the wood and heavy duty stuff with some
of the "men" so I didn't really care about that...but then Angie, Erin, Rochelle, and Tisha were off in their own little clique
and it was quite annoying. I got the distinct impression that someone was talking shit about me and I so do not like that feeling.
I just tried to play the whole "I'm just tired so I'm gonna be quiet" facade. But doing that made me really depressed and I was
not a happy camper. Add onto that Tricia (the hella old jr leader that crushes on every male summer aide) fucked up a part
of the side decorations, making the paper all wrinkled, and I just happened to get that section for my group's stuff. I was so
pissed. Tanya and Tara and a few of the other jr. leaders made me feel included with them though and I felt better. The
decorating and everything with the backdrop was pretty fun. We also practiced our summer aide dance. We ended up leaving at about
10pm. good fun. =)
Then it was Wednesday. Finale day. Its scary how fast time is going by. It was also scary to see Hunter, one of Erin's kids
show up with one side of his face all red and bruised. He didn't show up the day before and then he came that day and it turns out
his mom hit him or something. I felt so bad. I mean, I can sorta understand cuz he is a real pain and acts up horrendously, but
that is no excuse to beat up your kid. Ms. Gail talked to her that night and I guess if it happens again she'll report her, but dang...I
dunno. Its so scary.
Ooh, and Wednesday I played kickball with my kids and it was so fun. Micah kicked the ball and it went flat. hahaha. That
was hilarious. Douglas was causing a shitload of trouble though and it gave me a headache. Even when we made cupcakes...he
does not seem to understand that "do not touch fill in the blank" actually means do not touch it. Eesh. No matter how
many times you may say it, or how loud you say it, or even what emphasis you put behind saying it...he still refuses to listen.
And so goes my existence with him in my group. AISH!
Finale night was crazy. It came up so fast!! All our kids were nervous but they did great. I'm so proud of them!! =) I will
show you pictures when I get them developed. [Thanks to Paul for
the camera! ^_^] The summer aide dance was also hella tight. I even bought new sketchers and a pair of windbreakers for our outfit.
It was so much fun doing it too. It even felt like the song was playing slow cuz I was so excited and nervous. ;P
Today was a good day. We played Animal Farm and Octopus with Grant's and Russell's
groups. Then while we were in the gym it started pouring outside. It was kinda trippy, but I was happy cuz that meant that
I didn't have to go outside to watch the shambattle courts at lunch. WOOHOO! Instead I just had fun with the triplets, watching
them spin themselves silly, and with Tyler, the crazy child...I mean "little man." =)
In the afternoon there was a yoyo demo from High Performance Kites and it was pretty ok. Then I gave my kids ice pops for doing
so well at finale. The day went off without much chaos due to the fact that Douglas didn't come. I know its a bad thing to say,
but I really wish he wasn't in my group. He may be good at heart sometimes, but its just way too much hassle than its worth. =(
Tonight Grant, me, Tanya, and Kekoa went to Halawa's
finale. We basically criticized it the whole way through because we were comparing it to ours, but in actuality it was pretty
good. =) We basically went to see it for this girl Amber who was supposed to be at our summerfun but had to go to Halawa instead.
She always comes to the park in the afternoons so she's cool and she danced really well. We were all proud of her. =) [but really,
we did a whole lot better on our program. lol]
I was really glad I went cuz I got to sit next to Grant and I still think he's really cool. His sister came to the finale
tonight too but I don't think Grant was too thrilled about it. Its cool though, cuz we laughed a whole lot. And Tanya and Kekoa
did too. Sometimes I get the distinct impression that they like each other. In fact, I bet you that they probably do. Well, I dunno.
I don't want to say anything cuz I may be wrong, but seriously...that's what it seems like. =) And its perfect cuz there's them
and then there's me and Grant! lol. Ok, well, maybe I still need to work on the "me and Grant" part, but I can always hope right? hahahah
jk.
Well, tomorrow is the recyclerama so I better sleep now. I'll be doing the "Water Penny Drop" where you have to drop a penny
into the water and make it land in the cup. heehee. Carnivals are so much fun! =) Oh! I should scan a few new pics.
