I'm sitting here watching Grease. I love this movie. This has got to be one of my top 5 favorite
movies. I was thinking about that earlier, what those five would be, but so far I've only really narrowed it
to 4. Grease, Joy Luck Club, Princess Bride, and Sound of Music [not in that particular order]. And
yes, the last one is really gay but I still like it. heh. But dang, Grease, I love this movie! My favorite
song is "There are Worse Things I could Do" that Rizzo sings near the end. This is just a classic. I mean,
how many musicals are made these days? Umm let me rephrase that...how many GOOD musicals are made these
days. ;P
Oh! Oh! I think I may have found another favorite movie, Father of the Bride (parts 1 and 2 hehe).
I really should sit and write this shit down somewhere.
Anyway, as I did last year on New Year's Day, today I went to go see a movie.
Lester and I went
down to Union City and watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. That was one of the DOPest movies I've
seen in a long time. Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh were cool and that Zhang Ziyo chick was pretty cute.
Hehe, made me wish I could fly and fight atop Bamboo trees. haha
Starting this new year with IHOP, Krispy Kreme, and the movie was really nice. I would've preferred to
spend it with Grant, of course, but that'll come soon enough. I'm grateful to Lester for putting up with me
on these occasions. hehe
While we were out, I started thinking about what kinds of resolutions I would set for myself for this
new year 2001. I'm still not quite sure but here's what I've come up with so far:
1. Make Grant happy
2. Floss more often
3. Conserve more energy
4. Have some money saved up by the time school starts
5. Exercise at least once a month [yeah, I know its not very good, but at this point, even that would be an
improvement. hah!]
That's about it for now. Yeah, not too exciting huh. But you gotta figger, if you make a few small ones
maybe it would be a little bit easier to get them accomplished. So the first, fourth, and fifth ones are pretty
big [for me anyway] but gosh dangit! I'm gonna REALLY try. I mean, its not like I said I was going to try
eating healthier, cuz we all know how much I love my cookies and ice cream. hehe. But yeah, number one
especially, that means the most to me. =)
Okay, well, back to work and the drudgery tomorrow morning. blech. I can't wait for Martin Luther King Jr.
Day. hehe. Hope everyone had a happy new year! Sae Hae Bok Mani Badeuseyo! Shinnen Akemashite Omedetou! ^_~
love always,
Maria
Oooh ooh! Its my fave song on now! Rizzo's cool. And soon it'll be my favorite part, when Sandy
gets a total makeover. hehe.
There are worse things I could do
Than go with a boy...or two
Even though the neighborhood thinks I'm trashy and no good,
I suppose it could be true
That there are worse things I could do
I could flirt with all the guys
Smile at them and bat my eyes
Press against them when we dance
Make them think they stand a chance
Then refuse to see it through
That's a thing I'd never do
I could stay home every night
Wait around for Mr. Right
Take cold showers everyday
And throw my life away
On a dream that won't come true
I could could hurt someone like me
Out of spite or jealousy
I don't steal and I don't lie
But I can feel, and I can cry
A fact I bet you never knew
But to cry in front of you
That's the worse thing I could doooooooo.
