"And Moses went and spoke these words" - " 凩̅솪? î‰¹Ñ†ä» å‡©?ǡ̅?-ä‡£Ì€áˆ¸Ä©í ¤È Å¬Ì†ä¦£034; (Deuteronomy 31:1)
This seems to hint to the difference between seeing the face of a Tzaddik and hearing his words. When a person sees the face of a Tzaddik it affects him when he is seeing, but after time it does not have such a strong effect. However the words that a person hears from the Tzaddik awaken a person even after time has passed. This is what the Torah says that even when "and Moses went", meaning after he left the world, even still he "spoke these words", that his holy words have left over a great influence upon all generations, for everyone learns the Torah of Moses.

"And Moses called out to Joshua and told him in the eyes of all Israel to be strong and mighty" - "凩̄?à ®É¹Ñ†ä ¬Ä©ä¥‰?, 凩̉ஆ?È©å ¬?Å©?눬-鄹Ҁ? 炦Ƿ å† ?ȵ" (Deuteronomy 31:7)
The Targum translates "strong and mighty" as "?à¬©í¦£034; Takif ve'alim. In the Liturgy for Rosh Hashanah we pray "and we should all make one bundle to do Your Will whole heartedly". The concept of a bundle is that if one grabs onto one branch in a bundle, he has grasped the entire bundle. So we pray that fulfilling God's Will should be the same way, that if one of our group is awakened to serve God, the entire group should be lifted up with him. This is particularly so with a Jewish leader, who needs this strength more than others, that if he is serving God, then all are awakened, all of the people who are attached to him. This is the meaning of "?å ¬é¦#034; - "Takim ve'alim", which comes from the term "à¬¥î© à¬¥î©" - "alumim alumim", "sheaves" or "bundles", which is one bundle, that should have the strength of a sheave in the field. That if he is awakened to serve God, then everyone is awakened together with him.
