Reprise Records: * Their debut album on a major record label was entitled "Dookie". "Dookie" was released in 1994, going 10 times platinum, and is to this day the largest selling album Green Day has produced. This album spawned five hits, which were "Basket Case", "Longview", "She", "When I Come Around", & "Welcome to Paradise" * Following Dookie, was 1995's very successful "Insomniac" which produced many favorites such as "Geek Stink Breath", "Stuck With Me", "Brain Stew/Jaded". (which was also featured on the Godzilla soundtrack)& "Walking Contradiction". * In 1997, the band came up with their 5th album,. and 3rd Reprise album, called "Nimrod". From "Nimrod" came Green Day's biggest hit, "Good Riddance. (Time of Your Life)", a beautiful ballad. Other hits from this album were "Hitchin' A Ride", "Redundant" and "Nice Guys Finish Last", which was also featured on the Varisty Blues soundtrack. * In 2000, Green Day made Warning. Warning consists of singles like "Minority", "Warning", "Waiting" and "Macy's Day Parade. This album displayed Green Day's more mature side. Sadly, the album only achieved gold status. * In 2001, International Superhits and International Supervideos were released with all of Green Day's greatest hits! |
