Summary: The Avengers arrive in Greece where the Greek army has been overwhelmed by the villagers of Kalkhimithia, who have all been transformed into Hulk-like brutes! The Avengers quickly realize that even their power can't stop a village full of Hulks so they focus on herding the beasts and minimizing damage. After a quick field analysis, the impostor Goliath deduces that their genetic structure is unstable and that pushing them together will cause them to merge. Hoping to reduce the numbers to a manageable size, he starts merging Hulk after Hulk and encourages the others to do the same! Soon there are a mere handful of giant-sized Hulks. Hank concocts a formula to allow him to shrink them using his power over Pym particles. Warbird sprays the remaining Hulks but to the team's surprise there is no effect! Before Hank has a chance to adjust the formula to account for the monstrous Hulks' unstable cellular structure, the Hulks merge into one mega-Hulk and smash Goliath's portable lab! This leaves the Avengers with one gigantic problem!
Meanwhile, three subplots hatch. First, Wonder Man confides in Triathlon that his agents want him to return to acting and the only real thing holding him back is a sense of obligation (not love) to Wanda, who resurrected him with her love! At the mansion, Jarvis & Silverclaw are disturbed by an explosion nearby. When Lupe goes to investigate she is met by Diablo, who admits to creating the aforementioned gamma-powered diversion to draw the Avengers away! Finally, we get yet another glimpse of the mysterious father/son villains plotting against the Avengers!
NOTE: Looks like Carol may have a new haircut, as her hair seems to get shorter and shorter this issue!
