Summary: Warbird awakens in her apartment, following a knockout punch from Iron Man last issue. Carol comes to and quickly pieces together what happened. Enraged, she takes another drink and goes after Tony! She attacks Tony at his Seattle home and he soon engages her as Iron Man. Realizing that Warbird is drunk and in a blind rage, he draws her away from the house and civilians. As the pair of Avengers battle, Shellhead concludes that Carol must be in an alcoholic blackout! When Warbird slams into an electrical substation, she absorbs the resulting energy flow and renews her attack on Iron Man. Their battle comes to a halt when Warbird slams Iron Man through the wing of a passing passenger plane.
Seeing the plane in danger and Iron Man struggling to save it, Carol snaps out of her fugue state and goes to Tony's aid. Together, the pair of heroes manage to land the plane safely. Once they're safely on the ground, an exhausted Warbird collapses after she leanrs that she was responsible for the near disaster! Carol is rushed to the hospital to be treated for alcohol poisoning while Iron Man races off to stop the rising menace of ULTIMO!
