Nalinidhar Bhattacharya

The angry boy in the woods

Like deer trapped in the bog
Stricken by hunger and thirst
He is now an angry boy

He is waiting for the springs storms
Each tree in the woods now
Play at the bamboo pipe in unison.

[ Translated by Pradip Acharya ]

Nalinidhar Bhattacharya (b. 19-) has several collections of his poems to his credit including Cheraxalir Malita and Dinbor Xalani Nohol.
