Roxanna was born to King Mourgan and Queen Gwyneth Whyvern of Naebrow Whyvers. Her father, once a good man, saw his opportunity to raise her as a sacrifice and began his dark work with her birth. Roxanna was born a twin, but has never found this out as her father had her twin brother sold to be killed. Fortunatly Willder never died and is now a god, knowing of his relation to Roxanna but not telling. King Mourgan fought to keep Roxanna an innocent, because only a virgin could be used in his sacrificial spell to gain control over everything. Mourgan dabbled in powers beyond his control, not knowing the incredible side effects. He spent her growing years searching far and wide for three artifacts that he would need for the spell. He did not know that bringing the three artifacts together would destroy everything ever in existance. Gwyneth, ever the caring mother, was aware of his intentions and set plans to help Roxanna escape when the timing was right. Roxanna never knew of her father's evilness, believeing him only the doting father and, under his watchful eye, became further and further from her mother. Roxanna, ever a daddy's girl, didn't believe her mother and stormed off, leaving Gwyneth scared and desperate to make her believe. Roxanna ran to town to find the boy she loved. They went to a field and spoke of getting married, but a dark shadow fell over them as Mourgan returned from his trip to find Roxanna breaking his number one rule. She was never allowed to associate with town boys. He went ballistic and pulled dark magic together, killing Roxanna's love in an instant. He wheeled upon Roxanna, but Gwyneth ran in, interceding. She handed a small item to Roxanna and whispered that it was one of Mourgan's missing artifacts and to hide it forever. Then she kissed her on the brow and told her to run and never forget her mother's love. Mourgan slayed Gwyneth where she stood and Roxanna ran far, ran fast. She managed to stowaway on a boat and thanked the gods for her magic skill which she had. She could put any essence into a vial and hold it there to be recalled at her whim. She trapped the artifact in one of her vials that only she could open and hid it far far away. She was also glad that her mother had forced her, against Mourgan's will, to learn swordplay. Over the next 7 years Roxanna traveled to many places in many realms. She grew hardened, constantly being attacked by Mourgan's soldiers. She never made friends, afraid that they would be killed, and was always on the move. Finally she arrived at a tavern known widely as the Black Dragon Inn and decided to try and settle down for a while. People eyed the small bitter woman who stayed in the corners, unwilling to talk to anyone, unwilling to do anything but try and hide from the gossip that followed her. After a long time she met Syth, a man who brought her out of her shell.. let her love again. But the fear of her father still haunted her. After a time, Syth disappeared, leaving Roxanna numb. In swept Bravhart Blackwalker, a witty scotsman who fell in love with Roxanna and, gradually, earned her love in return. They were happy together until Mourgan attacked again. He sent a great beast to attack Roxanna, one that only she could see. As she fought for her life in Black Dragon Inn she was called insane... people thought she fought the air around her. As she finally began to kill the beast it teleported her into the clutches of Mourgan. He trapped Roxanna in the form of a ghoul and used a spell that prevented her from asking for help. He sent her back to Black Dragon Inn, preparing to use her still virginal body in his spell. Roxanna managed to convince a friend, TaronDirk, who she was and begged him for help killing her father. Agreeing, she and Taron set up their plans and lured Mourgan into a battle. Mourgan was a boasty fighter, speaking more for his skills than he could show. Roxanna and TaronDirk anticipated this and used it in the battle to bring him to his knees... and remove him. Roxanna free and in her body again she rejoiced and celebrated, knowing a lightness to her soul that she hadn't felt in years. Bravhart proposed and they were married soon after, but a dark threat still lingered. The day after their marriage, Roxanna was kidnapped from the Black Dragon Inn while sitting beside her wife.
