ABOUT BAPTISM
                     "WHAT'S IT FOR"
church of Christ
The Religious World says "Baptism" is not necessary for Salvation.

In Mark 16:16
Jesus said
"Them that beliveth and is baptised shall be saved".

Can one receive
"Salvation" on the outside of the Body of Christ?
No!             Look at Eph 1:22-23

Let us look at what our great Apostles say about Baptism in the Bible.

Peter tell us it is for the "remission of sins" or "the forgiveness of sins".   Look at Acts 2: 38
Peter also tells us that Baptism will save us.  Look at I Peter 3:21

Paul says that Baptism will wash away your sins.  Look at Acts 22:16
Paul also says it will put you into Christ's death.
Where he shed his blood. Look in Rom. 6:3 & John 19:34
He also said that Baptism will make a new creature(man/women)
out of you. Look at Romans 6:4
This means a sinner can have a new life in Christ.
Look at II Cor. 5:17
That you will put the old man(sinful life) to death.  Look at Rom. 6:6
Apostle Paul tells us that you will put on Christ. Look at Gal. 3:27

What happens when you
"Put on Christ".
1. You become a "Christian".  Look at Acts 11:26
2. You are a member of the household of faith.  Look at Gal. 6:10
3. You are the temple of the living God.
    Look at I Cor. 3:16 & II Cor. 6:17
4. You become a child of God.  Look at Gal. 3:26 & Heb. 11:6
5. A new creature in Christ.  Look at II Cor. 5:17

So one might ask where is "Salvation" found.
It's in
Christ our Lord and Savior.Look at II Tim. 2:10 & Heb. 5:8-9

WHY is Baptism important?
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior
Commanded "Them that believeth and IS Baptised shall be saved.  Look at Mark 16:16

It is impossible for God to lie.  Look at Heb. 6:18
God is not slack in his promises. Look at II Peter 3:9

On the day of Pentecost them that gladly received the word of Jesus. The words of the Aspostles. The words of the Holy Spirit.
On this day about 3000 souls were Baptised and Saved. The ones that had put on Christ were added to the Church. Look at Act 2:41,47
Who added them to the Church?
The Lord added the believing to the Church.
Look at Mark 16:16 & Acts 2:47

For God will not remember their past sins no more.
Look at Heb. 10:17
The unbelievers "shall be damned in everlasting  punishment with everlasting destruction.".
Look at II Thess. 1:7-9 & Rev. 20:10

So what category does the
"SAVED" fit in?
Them that believeth or them that believeth not that Baptism isn't necessary
UNTO Salvation. Look at Rom. 1:16
Salvation is in Christ.
Look at Gal. 3:27
