The only Gospel this parable is found in is
in the Gospel of Matthew 25: 14-30.

What was Jesus comparing things to in this parable? What does it mean?
1. a far off country-
heaven
2. a man-
Christ
3. his own servants-
GOD children/ Christians
4. talent/talents-
things that we can do to further the teaching of Christ in
helping   to save souls by the preaching or teaching of
the plan of salvation,
or to serve God in any service to help make the Church strong.

5. deliver unto them his goods-
his Gospel
6. outer darkness-
hell
7. the day of reckoning-
Day of Judgement
8. exchangers-
sinners
9. put my money to the exchangers-
the plan of salvation
10. hid his talent/talents-
by not doing the work of the Lord while we had time.(while we are still physically alive).
This does show us that a child of God can be lost if we do not the will of God.
1 John 2:24, Gal. 6:9, 2 Peter 2:20-21

Each Christian will sin because the flesh is weak but we must repent of the
sin we have done and ask forgiveness of our sins in Christ Jesus name and
try with all that is in us to be sinless.
Act 20:28, Eph.1:7, 1 John 1:7, II Peter 1:5-11

The Bible says this about a child of God's who sins.
Psa. 37:23-24 states "Though he falls(sins), he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand."

By using our talent/talents we will gain more and hear "well done thou good
and faithful servant" from the Lord on Judgement Day. God give us all at
least one talent if we do not uses it we
WILL answer for it on Judgement Day.
Matt. 25:21,23
