Movies
One of the most famous and sought-after "lost" films in the history of cinema, London After Midnight is a well-known title to lovers of vampire movies as well as to movie enthusiasts in general.  Though the last known print to exist of this motion picture was destroyed in an MGM vault fire in the 1960s and no other prints have miraculously appeared anywhere as of yet (as unlikely as that may be), there is a glimmer of hope for seekers of this cinematic treasure.  Rick Schmidlin, an award-winning filmmaker and archivist, somehow managed to obtain over 200 original still photographs that were taken during London After Midnight's production in 1927.  By reconstructing the entire film's narrative with the stills and a copy of the complete script along with the original titles and a new score composed by the acclaimed Robert Israel, the Turner Classic Movies channel was able to present a complete stills reconstruction for viewers to enjoy on Halloween of 2002.
