The Kitsune Mythology Challenge | ||||||||||

The Kitsune Mythology Challenge is an ongoing "Yuu Yuu Hakusho" Fanfiction Challenge. The challenge is this: read up on Kitsune Mythology (the best site for this is Foxtrot's Collection of Kitsune Lore) and then incorperate some of it into a fic. Rules: The Challenge does not terminate; therefore, there is no 1st place, 2nd place, etc, but rather a basic scoring system. The stories will recieve points on a 10pt scale for a number of catagories, such as spelling/grammer, continuity, flow, implementation of mythology, etc, as well as specialized catagories for different genres, and then the points will be averaged for an overall score. The stories will be archived here and listed in order of score. There is no limit to the number of fics you can submit (though if you keep sending really bad fics you may be asked to stop). Please include a synopsis, and not one of those "I suck at synopses" things; if you have trouble with synopses try using a line out of the fic to give the reader a taste of the story. You can use any pairing you want, or no pairing at all, but secret pairings are not allowed. The pairing will be listed along with the synopsis. There are no content restrictions, however potentially objectionable content will certainly be labled and may be archived on a separate page. If your story is unfinished it will be kept in a "pending" section until it is finished. Depending on length it may be given a tentative rating. If you submit a story and have it rated, then rewrite it later, you may apply to have the new version of your story replace the old and have it rated again; however, as this will not take priority, it may take time. If many stories are submitted I will probably have to find other people to rate them. In that case, the people who do the rating may still submit their story(s) but, obviously, can't rate their own story(s). As for a prize, I'm thinking of creating banners with the score on it, the higher the score the nicer the banner; and maybe something additional for people who get high scores. Any ideas for scoring catagories and prizes will be warmly recieved. A list of the scoring catagories will be coming soon... P.S. This is my first Challenge, so bear with me... |
