CURTIN LINE of Roland Curtin, formerly Co Clare, settled Centre Co, Pennsylvania, USA (click here)

The CURTIN CLAN Association. After much canvassing, Neal Curtin put in the groundwork to get the Curtin Clan Association, with a 9 member Board,  registered in the USA, and also registered with Clans of Ireland in 1998. He organised the first Curtin Clan Gathering held in Burlington, Boston, Massachuetts late July 1999, with people attending from Australia, Canada and various parts of the USA.  Pictures of this appear on the Curtin Clan Web site.

The 2nd Curtin Clan Gathering was held in April, 2001 at Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare, Ireland and attended by over 200 Curtin's over the 3 days.  3rd Gathering was in Skaneateles, New York State in Augst 2003 and was very well attended.

The 4th Curtin Gathering will be in 2005 in Mallow, Co Cork, Ireland . . All details in Newsletters on the Curtin site.

Neal Curtin of Seattle, WA, USA (Clan Secretary/Treasurer) ; Dan Curtin of Los Angeles, California USA (Clan Vice Chief and Webmaster);  Margaret Curtain of Queensland, Australia (Clan Genealogist/Historian); and Curtin Winsor (2) of Virginia, USA (Clan Chief).

Neal's Curtin ancestors are from a Curtin line farming in central Co Cork. Dan's ancestors were from a family farming in north-western Co Cork. Margaret's husbands line is from north-eastern Co Kerry. Curtin has his ancestry in southern Co Clare.  He is also a direct line descendant of Governor Andrew Gregg Curtin of Pennsylvania, USA.
