What does "bomb thrower" mean?
The name actually originates in pre-revolutionary Russia. A group of young revolutionaries called "The Peoples Will," Which included the likes of Lenin’s older brother Alexandr, was formed. The Peoples Will launched attacks on the Tsarist monarchy, and assassinated Tsar Nicolas II on March 1, 1881. The assassins, like many other members of the People Will, were captured and hanged. They also attacked Tsarist trains, buildings and officials in an attempt to de-stabilize the brutal regime. The attacks were mostly carried out using dynamite. As a result of this, revolutionaries, especially Communists, were dubbed "bomb throwers" a term that stuck for some time, but has faded from use today. The Peoples Will was unable to lead Russia to revolution; much of the Russian population had not yet lost faith in the regime despite its obvious deficiencies. Many Russians still believed that the Tsar was the leader chosen by god. The Peoples Will was also unable to spread their message because of the massive illiteracy in Russia, and lack of the means to copy and distribute literature. The Peoples Will and other groups like it, which used violence and terror attacks on the Monarchy to try and destabilize it, were mistaken in their methods, they did not hold the support of the significant enough percentage of the masses it is futile to attempt a seizure of power by force, especially through the tactics described above. But as we know, Revolution did come to Russia in the years that would follow, first in 1905, and then in 1917 with the October Revolution, which led to the founding of the first workers and peasants state.
Many people consider the People Will a terrorist organization, that's for you to consider and decide for yourself, I think they were mistaken in their acts; I don't support that sort of action or suggest that it be carried out here in Canada. But I don't consider them evil monsters, to me the people they fought against were the monsters, they were just mistaken in their tactics.
By choosing the name "bomb thrower" for this site, I DO NOT mean to suggest that I support terrorism in any way. I simply mean to point out that derogatory propaganda has been used against the revolutionary left since the dawn of its existence. True Marxists are not terrorists, and one should not believe all that they read.
I do however intend to promote another sort of act, one that can also strike terror in the hearts of the ruling elite all around the world. To "throw" the only sort of "bomb" that can be justified by a true Marxist at the current time in Canada. That is one of information. Information is a tool, a weapon to open the minds of the proletariat and rally their support for real change in out society. Violence used by minority political factions to further their own political aims is never justified, only mass revolutionary action is. The people of the bourgeois nations of the world are under the constant barrage of bourgeois propaganda. It is the duty of all progressive minded people to spread the truth, portray a different view of the world, awaken the masses and lead the struggle for peace, democracy, freedom and socialism. A most destructive blow can be delivered by literature and by image when it frees the minds of the people from the chains of the ruling class's lies. That is the "bomb" I attempt to "throw" through this web site.

"Peace, Bread, Land, Freedom!"
"The Proletarian who is conscious of this task (overthrowal of capitalism) is a slave who has revolted against slavery. The Proletarian who is not conscious of the idea, is a slave who does not realise his position as a slave; at best he is a slave who fights to improve his conditions as a slave, but not one who fights to overthrow slavery"-V.I.
