REPLY: Album covers frequently changed over the years. Who knows the reason for all the changes- most of them were probably marketing decisions, and I'm sure the artists had no input on the choices. Take At the Opera House for example. I lik the old cover much better than the newer one- C.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicago Jazz Band show in Daytona and it was good to meet you and chat between sets. It is a resourceful band and capable of appearing in this "high performance venue." The band won the audience "over" rather than as individual pe formers. This was apparent when the band received a standing ovation and a curtain call after your finale. While looking at my jj albums I noticed I have a couple that are not on your Album Covers page: "Trombone and Voices" and "Touch of Satin." I wondered if you were aware of the "Trombone and Voices" album on Columbia. Catch you later.

Christo, As a former Michigander and Asquare scene player, I have taken note of your site. I particularly want to commend you on your JJ Discography undertaking. Many years ago. I helped John Sinclair do a Trane disco. I have fond memories of the area and of the vibrant jazz scene there. Unlike JJ, I sometimes am nostalgic. I was a student of Sherman Mithell in Flint when Miles and JJ appearred in '60 for a full week (a real backwater for a major band then, but a full w ek even!), and I will make a full report on JJ's site.
