WINN

I am researching the WINN Family which migrated from SC to TN to AR. My ggggrandfather was John Minor WINN who is listed in the 1830, 1840 and the 1850 TN censuses (Carroll Co.), in addition to the 1880 AR census (Greene Co.). He would have been born about 1795 and his birth state and that of both parents is listed on all census records as SC. About his wife: all I know is her name (Sarah G.) as listed in the 1850 census. Their known children were: Samuel C. WINN (b. abt. 1819 TN, m. 1846 to Catherine L. CARLTON), Minor M. WINN (b 8/30/1821 TN, m. 1846 to Nancy YARBOUGH/YARBORY), John D. G. WINN (b. abt. 1823 TN, m. to Mahala and/or Susan), Robert WINN (b. abt. 1829 TN), Amanda A. WINN (b. abt. 1833 TN, m. 1858 to P.W.C. FOSTER), and Thomas WINN (b. abt. 1836 TN). I believe there was another daughter but cannot identify her conclusively--her name may have been Mary. This family, or part of it, moved westward from Carroll Co., TN, in the late 1850s and early 1860s to Greene Co., AR. John, Minor and William are names which have been used repeatedly in subsequent generations and leads one to believe they were connected to the WINN Brothers who arrived in South Carolina in the mid-1700s from Virginia, but I have been unable to make the link. I am hopeful that John Minor Winn may have had siblings who remained in South Carolina whose descendants might be able to identify the names of his parents. Any information would be appreciated.
