Okay So You've Never Heard of Kermit Before....
For those of you who haven't heard of Kermit, don't feel bad, neither has anyone else. It is a little town about 60 miles west of Odessa. There isn't much there except sand, tumbleweeds, oil rigs, critters and a big giant sink hole. It ain't much but it's home.
A little something about Kermit
For those of you familiar with the rodeo, Kermit is also the home of the famous World Champion bullrider, Jim Sharp. I thought since I grew up with him, I would give him a little space in my homepage.
Some Facts About Jim Sharp...
Jim rode bulls ever since I can remember. He rode them in junior high and high school. All I can ever remember him doing is winning. He was alsways nice to everyone and I never heard of him having any enemies...unless it was one of those bulls. In 1986, Jim got into the record books by making the most money ever won in a rookie year, $100,160. In 1988, he won his first World Championship by scoring 710 points and got 10/10. The following year, he tied for the World Championship with Tuff Hedeman when he scored 709 points and got 9/10. His third World Championship was won in 1992. He scored 570 points and got 7/10.
