Joe Driscoll

Joe Driscoll is the guitarist and vocalist for the Groove Merchants. He started taking guitar lessons in the fourth grade, but didn't really start moving until the seventh grade, after he stopped taking lessons. For his four years in high school he has played guitar in the Nottingham Jazz Ensemble. That was where most of the Merchants (Driscoll, Parke, Miller, and White) began playing together. He began taking his original material to open-mics at coffee houses in the eighth grade. A few bands were formed and played Happy Endings and the Last horizon. Joe then began organizing and emceeing High School Showcases for Styleen's Rhythm Palace. He organized shows for a year and that was around the time Groove Merchants formed. His roots were in solo acoustic rock.
