#1 Book of Names
Score, Pixel, and Helaine (disguised as Renald through most of the book) are put in impossible situations after being betrayed by Oracle. Then Beastials come and take them to Treen. They are directed to the local wizard, Aranak. After learning more about their powers, Aranak attacks them. They win the fight,because Aranak does not know their true names (Matt, Shalar, and Helaine). Then they step into the portal to the next world.
#2 Book of Signs
When the trio arrives on the next world, they are attacked by goblins, whom they defeat easily. Then the sorceress, Shanara, angers the nearby trolls with the help of her familiar, a red panda named Blink. They beat the trolls, but just barely. Then they befriend three centaurs. They next become allies with the goblins by not killing them in an easy battle against them. They get more gems (which help your magic power) by defeating a wyrm. Then they find out Shanara is Amaris, the female centaur, in disguise. They decide not to fight her (she's not evil, she was afraid before) and go to the next world, Dondar.
#3 Book of Magic
The trio arrives on Dondar and befriends the unicorns Flame, Nova, and Thunder. Then they kill a FAT wizard, Garonath, who wanted their power. Then they defeat Sarman, the mega-evil wizard, after a long battle. They then meet the Three Who Rule, the Triad. They find out that they are actually the Triad reborn, and they must defeat them. They do andthey are just about to relax when they find out their unicorn friends are in trouble.
#4 Book of Thunder
The trio's unicorn friend, Thunder, is cheated out of his leadership by Tychus, who is actually a special wizard who transfers to the nearest body when he dies. They manage to trap him in the body of an ice dragon. Then Score collapses.
#5 Book of Earth
Score's old locket from when he was a child is being used magically to hurt him by a non-magic user named Toshiro and his daughter, Destiny. The trio don't know it's them until it's almost too late. They manage to defeat his warriors and cure Destiny's not being able to walk, but Pixel figures out that she just wants their power. In fury, she grabs him, knife at throat and takes him to Zarathan, the nightmare world.
#6 Book of Nightmares
One drawback on Zarathan: If you sleep, you die. Pixel doesn't know this, but by dumb luck he doesn't sleep. Score and Helaine finally rescue him, then they figure out that the planet is no planet at all. It's a creature. So they decide to do the logical thing: wake it up. Then Destiny comes and tells them it wasn't a creature, it's an egg. And it is hatching. She then attacks them. She falls to her doom(?) thanks to hole opening up. They get away just in time. It ends with "who knows what could happen?" spoken by Shanara.
