May 01 – Jul 01 : Account Exectuive with Oasis Office Systems in Alexandria, Louisisna. Responsible for all sales in Avoyelles Parish and some of Rapides Parish.

Jul 94 - Dec 00 : Owner/Operator Tunica Chevron and Tunica Café in Marksville, Louisiana. Sold business. Six years experience in retail sales, customer service, and personnel management, including collections, inventory management, payables, and receivables.

Nov 88 - Apr 96: Station Manager at KAPB FM and KAPB AM in Marksville, Louisiana. Left to operate Tunica Chevron and Tunica Café. Seven years experience in radio station management, including writing ads for local and national accounts, computer operations, typing, bookkeeping, billing, accounts receivables, collections, personnel management, and other administrative functions.

Nov 87 - Nov 88: Account Executive at KAPB FM and KAPB AM in Marksville, Louisiana. Promoted to Station Manager. Eight years experience in local, regional, and national advertising sales management. Responsible for writing ads, typing, billing, accounts receivables, collections, and other administrative functions.

Jun 66 - Nov 87: US Air Force. Retired as Senior Master Sergeant, E8, on 01 November 1987. Twenty-one years experience in increasingly demanding positions in diverse organizations. Six years in-depth experience in personnel and resource management, training, and administrative duties. Also served as Account Custodian, Equipment Custodian, and Supply Custodian for several large shops.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: (Management and Administrative) As Floor Supervisor with Kerotest developed a form used by all supervisors to track production. Maintained an average production of 95% compared to 76%, 72% abd 72% on the other three shifts. As a Human Resource Analyst, in the first three months reduced a three month backlog of background reference checks to Zero. As a Workforce Development Officer, with only 5 months experience working in a one-person Job Center, revamped the entire filing system and created a Continuity Book so that any Workforce Development Officer could fill in as needed with no lost of service to the customer. As Sales Executive with Oasis Office Systems was top sales person for the week of June 17th - 23rd, 2001.

As owner/operator of a convenience store and café increased gas sales 60 percent and inside sales 40 percent in the first two years. Increased bad debt collections 80% and reduced bad debts by 50 percent.

As manager of a local radio station developed new account maintenance procedures, bookkeeping procedures, and billing procedures that resulted in a 100 percent decrease in manual documentation problems and a 94.5 percent decrease in computer documentation problems. Also resulted in a 56 percent decrease in total employee hours required to accomplish our monthly billing.

As Branch Superintendent in a large organization was responsible for production, quality assurance, administrative functions, job interviews, personnel management, 95 military and civilian employees, and over $7 Million in equipment and facilities.

Authored several regulations, checklist, and self- inspection guides that improved our ability to detect problems areas and prevent mishaps. Resulted in a 375 percent decrease in our mishap rate and the lowest mishap rate in over 4 years for 2 consecutive years.

Developed in-depth training programs that utilized technical assistants for routine procedures and created job over-lapping for 120 employees thus reducing the number of employees needed to do the job and increasing the organizations effectiveness by 25 percent and a savings of $9,600.00 annually.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: (Financial Management) Developed and implemented inventory control and warehousing procedures thus reducing inventory by 44 percent resulting in a savings of over $6500.00 while still maintaining 100 percent customer service.

Developed and implemented new procedures for bad depth collections that resulted in an annually savings of over $900.00.

While maintaining accounts receivables, collections, and billing accounts developed and implemented new procedures that resulted in a collection rate of over 96 percent, a 4.2 percent increase.

Formulated and controlled several operation budgets of over $1 Million. Devised expenditure controls and accounting procedures that resulted in a 9 percent decrease in expenditures over a 12-month period.

As custodian of several equipment accounts worth from $2 Million to $15 Million each developed new procedures for accounting and bookkeeping that resulted in annual savings of $293,000.00.

Approval and implementation of several of my suggestions resulted in annual savings to tax payers of over $200,000.00.

EDUCATION: Graduated from Hessmer High School in 1965. Completed a college level Trigonometry class in the evenings before graduating high school. Attended LSU-A in 1965 and 1966 earning 15 Credits before joing the Air Force. Earned 3 credits in Psychology from Northwestern State University at Louisiana. Total of 12 Psychology credits. Enrolled at The Community College Of The Air Force earning a total of 73 credits including 3 credits in Human Resource Management, 3 credits in Personnel Management, 3 credits in Material Management, 9 credits in Psychology, and 3 credits in Management Communication. Earned An Associate Degree in Applied Science, Aerospace Technology, from The Community College Of The Air Force in December 1982. Completed several Military Leadership and Management Academies, and several courses in Administrative Functions, Human Resource Management, Material Management, Personnel Management, Electronics, and Training.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Many years experience in computer and computer software use. Proficient in the use of word processor, database, and spreadsheet programs including Excel, MS Word 2000, MS Works, ACT, and Access. Proficient in Internet use including WebPage building. Can type over 60 WPM.
