2nd kentucky

The Second Kentucky Cavalry Co. D. Mounted Artillery is located throughout the Chicago Land area. The unit is one of the few in the Midwest that fields a 12 pdr. Mountain Howitzer actually drawn by a horse, with another under construction. We host several large scale local events, attend re-enactments, and teach C. W. history at local schools. We have openings for Cavalrymen with horses, Artillery men, and those that select dismounted. Our unit is also involved in pyrotechnics, (aerial and ground) effects at selected events. As a family orientated unit, we welcome everyone with an interest in Civil War history and re-enacting
