What's New?

Sorry for the delay in updates but I'm still a little slow when it comes to HTML and I HAVE been busy...

Instruments: My acoustic guitars are an El Degas MT19R 6 string c/w electronics, a Yamaha 12 string and my newest toy a Washburn J28SCE DLM Jumbo 6 string with cutaway and electronics including a built in chorus unit - smooth! My electric guitars are an Epiphone Joe Pass arch top Jazz guitar and a Godin LG 50th Anniversary Long & McQuade solid body. I also have a Vantage 700 series 4 string Bass, a Framus 5 string banjo and an Epiphone mandolin. Numerous amps, PAs, and mics round out the rest of the mess.

August 2002: I just had the first meeting of my newly formed "Durham Region Folk Circle." We had 10 out including myself with 7 that couldn't make it. What a great response! I've had more calls since. We will now be meeting regularly on the 4th Monday of the month. I'm hoping to eventually have a yearly fund raising concert and a folk festival develop out of this. For more info on the circle click on DRFC in the left margin.
Update April 2003: We now have 28 paid members. Our recent format includes a performance by guest performers in the second half of the meeting. We will also do some workshops including a songwriter's workshop in June 2003.
Update October 2003: I finally fixed the link to my guest book. It works but all previous entries are no longer there. Please feel free to add an entry to my new guest book. I also started teaching band class for the Blaisdale Montessori Schools in Ajax and Pickering.
Update May 2004: The DRFC is up to 40 members now and the format changed a while ago too. The second half now has the members split up into groups and prepare a performance piece for the rest of the club. The winter months were very bleak with not a lot happening but the summer is coming! Lot's of gigs. Stay tuned!
Update April 2006 What happened to 2005? Ever get the feeling you are too busy to keep up? Moved to Brampton in 2005. Took a day job. Hard to get everything done now....oh well!

I hope to add more links & things soon too so stay tuned, browse & enjoy.
Please don't forget to check out my links (more coming soon!) to other folk/filk musicians and, of course, our latest album "North Coast Caberet" listed under recordings. I have a track or two on other compilation CDs such as The Brampton Folk Club's 2 fundraiser CDs and will get around to doing a discography soon. As time permits I'm also recording some tracks for my own Jazz CD, Folk CD and Blues CD. I'd like to try and release at least one of them before the summer. (notice I didn't say which summer!)

My list of other albums will appear eventually. They're all independant record companies, so they don't appear in the big stores. (at least not yet!)
