"No one knows what power is locked inside another, no one knows perhaps what power is locked within oneself."

Well you really are a glutton for punishment aren't you? You came here not only to see pictures of lil' ol' me but you also want to read about me too? I'm touched... well anyway I'm a Senior [woo hoo] at Agnes Scott College in Georgia. Unfortunately yes it's a woman's college, don't ask me why I'm going there, it's a long stupid story and well the rest of my life will be co-ed (I hope, after all my big joke is that I'm going to end up Old Lady Marcum with the dogs, who lives in the rotting old house at the end of the street and scares the neighborhood kids). I'm a double major in Philosophy and Psychology who is no longer stressing about anything other than graduation and finding a good appartment in Nawlins when I move there. I got accepted to Loyola Law School and will be starting in the fall. I'm so incredibly happy about it... that first year will probably break me but ah well... if you have any tips for surviving law school throw them this direction. As far as getting in, I think I have Marie Laveau to thank... I made a wish and she granted it. :) If you have a chance, you have a problem and you believe in the power of one of the greatest voodoo priestess to ever live, visit St. Louis One at the east of the French Quarter make three X's or knock three times, leave a gift and make a wish. Maybe she'll bless you like she blessed me.

I don't really have a favorite philosopher, I like the Ancients, Plato especially, and I enjoyed the little excerpts I read from Nietzsche. I went to Greece a few years ago and studied for 3 weeks and that was awesome. We toured the ruins and the museums by day and read Philosophy by night there by tieing up the whole experience. I had the most amazing time and I learned so much. I've since got a tattoo of a Greek Cycladic Idol on my lower back. It didn't hurt that much and it's absolutely beautiful. It's called 'the thinking woman' and is this lady with her legs pulled up to her chest and she has her arms around them and her head bowed in contemplation. When I got accepted to Law School I then went out and a got a Scorpion and the Scorpio symbol tattoo'd on my upper thigh. Also a beautiful tattoo. If your ever in Atlanta go to Timeless Tattoo on Cheshire Bridge Road, I don't think you'll find a better a place.

I'm also a Scorpio... I was born on the Devil's Night. For a long time I jabbed at my mom for not holding me in for one more day so I could be born on Halloween. But I actully like my holiday better, I mean how many people can say that they burn things in Detroit on their birthday? :)

I promised I'd explain why I'm Granny didn't I? (if you haven't been to Melon's web page then you probably don't know what I'm talking about). Anyway, sophomore year a friend of mine used to mother my buddies so they all called her mom. Next thing you knew I said something to her, she called me mom and then I became Granny. One thing led to another and Gavin Rossdale was Melon's dad, and well you get the picture. Here are some pictures of my kids, if you haven't guessed 'Reenie' from Sailor Moon is my character, though the 'Black Lady' is wearing a collar so I liked this pic more. ;) Callie (one of my Grandkids) is 'Artemis' the white kitty, Melon (My other Grandkid and Jen's Daughter) is 'Diana' the little purple kitty and Jen (My Daughter and Melon's Mom) is 'Luna' the Black kitty.

I got into Anne Rice senior year of high school. I was going through one of those life crisis where I didn't like my friends or anyone else I went to school with for that matter and I was just trying to figure out who I was... and well Lestat showed me the way so to speak. I watched the movie Interview with the Vampire and have been a traveler on the Devil's Road in the world of Anne Rice ever since. In college I broadened my music tastes and became a fan of NIN... I love the emotion Trent Reznor's music invokes in me. He is a beautiful man and just like Anne Rice, I have so much respect for him as an artist. So many people take him for granted and treat him like a piece of meat, but even when I'm in the city he lives in standing outside his gate I still can't bring myself to take a picture of his front door (now my friend doing it for me is another story but...).

Just a little interjection, I actully got to *be* a vampire for a summer. I was accutane, an extreem acne medication where you take high levels of vitamin A, and it left me alergic to the sun for 4 months! I broke into a terrible rash every time I was out in it, even if it was coming through a window.

I love live music and I've been to so many concerts and met so many people it's ridiculous! I've written reviews for most of them, and they can be found in Tangled Vines my music page. I love the rush I get when I meet these people, my friends all laugh and call me a groupie, but I don't care, and after all their only giving me a hard time. I've even met Patrick Dempsey ('Can't by me Love', 'With Honors', 'Outbreak'). They were filming a CBS mini series on my campus freshmen year ('A Season in Purgatory') and I met him while I was working in the library. I collect set lists like they're postcards. I also enjoy going to the movies, my favorites being 'Shakespear in Love', 'Interview with the Vampire', 'Contact', 'Titanic', 'Seven', 'The Silence of the Lambs', 'The 3 Musketeers', and 'The Saint'. My other love is Baseball. I'm not a big sports fan all around, but there's nothing like kicking back at a game with a beer in one hand a hot dog in the other watching the boys play on the field.

I love New Orleans (like you hadn't noticed), it's so European and since I lived in Europe for 10 years (my father was in the Air Force) I instantly fell in love with the city. I was born on Hahn AFB Germany, we lived in the states in between and then I went to Mildenhall, England and Ramstein/Kaiserslautern, Germany. New Orleans is like no place I've ever been, it's so magical, and so like Europe. I feel that alot of America is sterile, there's not much to our history you know, after America is a baby as far as countries go. New Orleans on the other hand is a separate entity, when your there no other place in the world matters... it's so rich and enviting...she's beautiful that city. It also doesn't hurt that my hair is never so soft as when I wash it in Mississippi River water (whoda thunk fungus would be good for you hair?)

Here's some more recent (98/99) pictures of me, they all speak for themselves I think
