From My House To Yours

Thanksgiving to me is a time of reflection upon all of the wonderful blessings the Lord has bestowed upon me... From my wonderful husband whom I love with all my heart and our children whom I couldn't be more proud of... The Lord has blessed us in so many different ways that it is hard to keep track sometimes... He has blessed us with a wonderful home, and we always have plenty to eat and nice clothes to wear... We are all in good health and He has given us a business that we can be proud of to support ourselves... We attend a wonderful Christ~centered church where we have made many Christian friends with whom to fellowship... I have made many many wonderful Christian friends through the internet... Each one of them is a blessing to me in their own way and I am proud to call them my "Friend"... Below you will find some scripture that reminds us to be thankful for all that God has done for us and promises to do for us... This year as you sit down to your Thanksgiving dinner please remember to thank our Father in Heaven first and foremost and reflect on all of the blessings that have been given to you...

I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. O Lord, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit... (Psalm 30: 1-3

For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightend in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That the power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way... (Ephesians 1: 15-23)

I thank my God everytime I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and comfirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus... (Philippians 1:3-8)

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints~ the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit... (Colossians 1: 3-7)

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all widsom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in you hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him... (Colossians 3: 15-17)
