It's been 4 months since i last updated the site. These past few months had been hectic for me and I hadnt had time to update. However, The Dark Shadows Addict is back and better than ever, bringing back the videos you love to watch and expanding the already large screen capture gallery. I also am still planning the Dark Shadows Emmy Awards. However, I'm going to make it more simpler, by taking out a few unecessary categories. I'll get back to you on when I will start up the emmys again. As you can see in the Featured Video box, there is a sneak peak of the Emmy Awards featuring the Oustanding Continuing Story montage for the 1840 storyline nomination. I did this video MONTHS ago, but I never got to doing the videos for the other nominees.
Don't forget to sign my guestbook and tell me what you think of my new site design. Its a huge improvement from the last design, which was only a modified version of the 1st design. Something that is noticeable is the new Videos page. No longer must you go to angelfire to access the videos, making it easier to view them. Also, I have included little information on each video. Also, the screen capture gallery will soon be reconstructed by year. I will hopefully have that done later this month.
My goal is to become one of the greatest Dark Shadows websites on the net and I cant wait to continue doing what I love to do. - The Dark Shadows Addict

Who will win? What will they wear? When in the heck am i gonna premiere this?

Dont worry. It will premiere definately within the next year. LOL .....No, I'll probably premiere the awards in maybe 1 or 2 months. I know that you hate that it has taken so long, but I think the final product will be worth the wait. So just sit back and relax. Check back periodically for updates. I might happen to have the awards up sooner than you think. But for now, enjoy the Joan Bennett Red Carpet teaser photo.

As you know, voting was set to begin yesterday on the 22nd, however I wasn't able to set things up due to last minute studying for the SAT's that I took yesterday. When I came home from the SAT's, my internet connection wasn't working. It wasn't til this evening that I had finally got it working again. I apologize for the delay. Hopefully, I will be able to get the voting ready for tomorrow.

I am going to explain how this is going to work. I have compiled a list of prenominations for the Dark Shadows Emmy Awards. Each category has a certain number of prenominations. You will choose 5 of the prenominees for each category. However, for the Outstanding Musical Composition category, you will choose 3. Send in your choices Via email to darkshadowsaddict@yahoo.com

The prenomination period will end on the 15th. Then, on the 22nd, nominations will be revealed. Finally, on February 14th, the awards ceremony will take place.

10 Blocks From Glory

This past Monday, I was so close to the place where miracles happened- only 10 blocks away. There I stood, in New York on the corner of Broadway and West 43rd street. And 10 blocks away stood ABC studio 16, the place where Dark Shadows really became alive. I wanted to walk those 10 blocks in the FREEZING cold, but I knew my parents wouldnt let me. And we were only in NY for that day, so I sadly restrained my dreams of seeing the Dark Shadows Studio, aka the Montel Williams studio. But someday, I hope to go back to New york, onto 433 West 53rd Street and smile in delight.

On Hiatus

I am going on hiatus till January 1st. Lord knows I need a vacation. So unfortunately, the Barbra Streisand video wont be out on Christmas Day. But, the Dark Shadows Emmy Awards are still set to begin on Jan 1st.
