Construction started in 1850 and concluded 31 years after. It was the place where were realized Reinado parties.
Beside there was a public cemetery that, together with the church, in 1957, gave place to the Municipal Market.
In 1988 was raised a small replica located between the Municipal Market and the 21ª Regional Police Station for Public Security.
