He noticed he went down, got something and threw it to the sea. He did that many times. Intrigated, he went even closer and realized that what the man was throwing to the sea were sea stars that were taken to the beach. One by one, he threw the stars back to the sea.
He got closer to the man, greeted him and questioned why he was doing that. The man answered: "I'm returning those sea stars to the ocean. With the low tide they get stuck and won't be able to survive withou oxygen." The other said: "But, there must be lots of sea stars in this beach. Probably, you won't be able to get all of them. Can't you see that you are not making any difference??"
The man smiled got down in the sand, once again, got another sea star and threw back in the water. Right after that, he said: "See ... for that one I made a difference....".
