Beliving In Each Other Chapter 2 ~*~~*~ “Have a good day at school” Mum called as I left the house I saw come out of his house I didn’t bother trying to catch him up if he didn’t want me to help him that was his problem I just sit next to him in class get on with my work and not talk to him I got into the tutor roomwasn’t in there yet which would make it easier for me to ignore him I sat down and put my head in my hands waiting for the rest of the class to fill up I sawcome in I kept my gaze down and waited for him to sit next to me “Hi” he said “Hey” I replied quietly the day went slower then yesterday not talking to anyone just getting on with my work but then lunch time came and Casey came to see me “Hey girl I see you’ve realised’s a freak” she laughed I stood up “For your informationisn’t a freak I’m sick of everyone thinking he is just because he’s a bit slow well he’s not the only one with a learning disability here I’m sure there is more then just him” I said loud enough for the whole canteen to hear I sawwas in the canteen so he had heard it too I looked at him before storming out and heading to my locker I collected my stuff and walked out of the school I couldn’t stand to be around people who thought I like that I walked off home luckily mum was at work and dad was at his training camp I sat down in the living room and turned the TV on the doorbell rang I couldn’t answer it I was suppose to be at school “it’s me” I heard’s voice through the letter box I got up and opened the door “What are you doing here? Go back to school” I said “No not without you” he replied “Well I’m not going back” I said “Then I’ll stay here” he said walking into my house “Whatever” I said and walked through into the living room pretending he wasn’t in my house “Look I have something I want to tell you”said “What?” I asked looking at him “I’m not going to get far in life because I have dyslexia and I find it harder to do things” “I know what Dyslexia is I could tell you had it when I watched you in lessons” “I don’t want you to think I’m a charity case though”said hanging his head I got up and walked over to him I lifted his chin up “I don’t I know what it’s like to have a learning disability I have Dyspraxia” I replied reluctantly it wasn’t something I told everyone “Hand eye co-ordination problems” I toldbefore he could ask what it was “A bit like Dyslexia then” he said “A little that’s why I said that speech today in the canteen your not a freak just because you have a learning disability and others should realise that too we can battle thingsit might take us a little longer but we will do it” I said “I feel so much better is that why you want to help me?”asked “I want us to help each other I believe you can go far in life” I said “Thanks”said and hugged me I hugged him back and felt goose bumps “We can do it together”said breaking away “Exactly and who cares if the rest of the school think we’re freaks like I say they laugh because we’re different I laugh because there all the same and if we can hold our heads up high above all them it’ll show who’s really insecure about themselves” I said “Yeah especially Casey”said as we laughed… To Be Continued...
