This takes place six months after the movie
Anastaia and Dimitri had returned to Paris and were finally accepted by society. They were finally getting married. Anastasia's wedding dress was similar to her coronation dress except it was white and didn't have a sash. As the ceremony ended and they kissed something happened outside.
Light flashed and strange noises raced through the church, zap, a man started running down the isle when he was hit by a beam of light and fell to the floor. Anastasia "what's going on?" Another man entered the church holding what looked like guns of some kind. "He will be alright, he's just been stunned." The second man said. Anastasia looked puzzled "Who are you, and what's going on?" Cmdr Higgins looked at them "I am Cmdr Higgins and I came to stop the Bolsheviks. They will be back in packs like wild animals." Anastasia "why?" Higgins "they won't stop until every Romanov is dead. Come on" later at Marie's house "I don't understand why people suddenly accept my granddaughter and her husband?" Questioned Marie "I convinced them", answered Higgins "When people look beyond titles, wealth, and class, they see everyone is pretty much the same ." he continued . "How did you know about the Bolsheviks attack? " "Dimitri, I come from the future." Higgins answered, "You're a time traveler." Dimitri was shocked. "Yes, from an orbiting station which travels through time." Higgins replied. "Anyone else with you? " "No Anastasia I am by myself " Higgins continued " I couldn't allow you to be killed or give up your place as

Days later Anastasia and Dimitri were returning from a visit with Sophine . When they entered their house, gas filled the room they coughed, and fell. They awake several hours later in Russia, Stalin was watching "At last we have the last of the Romanovs , soon it will be all over." Dimitri asked, "What are you talking about?" "You going to die, and pay for the trouble your family caused Russia. " Stalin answered several men with him raised rifles and prepared to fire "Ready aim, fiiiii," just as Stalin started to say fire a beam of light shot passed him "Not a chance monster." a voice said, Stalin turned a looked at his attacker and ran "No, your dead, what are you a ghost." the stranger chased him "no I am real." the firing squad got knocked out, but not before Anastasia took a hit in her shoulder "No you can't be hurt, stay with me."
Dimitri cried over the fallen Grand Duchess "come on we must get her back to my station." Higgins said from behind "Can you save her?" Dimitri asked " yes but we must hurry."
Hours passed and Anastasia awoke in strange surroundings "Where am I?" "Your on my station." Cmdr Higgins answered " its alright your wound is heeled." she looked at her shoulder there was nothing there, she looked at herself, Anastasia was wearing her coronation dress and crown, the same thing she was wearing when she was shot. "Come over to the window " Higgins called, Dimitri and Anastasia walked over and were surprised at what they saw "Is that the earth " she asked "yes it is, we are orbiting above it, " Dimitri was puzzled "Who chased Stalin away he was scared by something." "Yes I know, let me show you, okay guys come in." A group of people entered the room. Anastasia looked at them "Father, but how " Nicholas "we were rescued before the palace fell." Higgins "I got them out before the Bolsheviks found them, I fought them off left and right."
"When I realized I was short two people I gave Nicholas some quad guns, so he could defend his family while I looked for the missing ones, I came upon two soldiers harassing a boy I took them out and the boy said the others escaped through the servants tunnels. So I left and took the others to the station" Higgins Continued, "I never knew what happened until now." "We have been raising a resistance against the Bolsheviks ever since " Nicholas said " I must return you to Marie now." Cmdr Higgins replied "Take the rest of my children " Nicholas replied "I don't want them fighting anymore, they will be safe with my mother" " alright then " Higgins answered.
They returned to Paris where Empress Marie was waiting "Where did you all come from?" she asked after seeing her grandchildren walking toward her "I saved them from the palace siege years ago." Higgins answered "Your son and his wife are also safe, they have been with the resistance in Russia "Dimitri looked at Higgins "You, saved me in the palace." "Yes, you were the boy those men attacked " Higgins answered. "I must return to my world but I will be watching." he replied and then he headed back to where the ship was hidden. Later Anastasia, Marie and Dimtri were looking at the night sky "Why would he care about us?" Anastasia asked, "Maybe he just wanted to give us a second chance." Dimitri answered, " I think he knew about your escape and let it happen so we would meet," he continued. "We were blind, the signs of trouble were around us, but we carried on as if nothing was wrong, we should have known better." Marie sighed, "I guess we tried to hang on to a dream that was lost now I realize that the Romanovs may never rule Russia again " just then something streaked across the sky and disappeared in a flash of light "there he goes." Anastasia said, they heard a voice calling them "You will rule Russia again someday." it said. Dimitri and Anastasia held hands as the watched the sky
