| NEW BABY ON ITS WAY |
| Aidan and Christian are so much fun, We've decided to add on one by one. The stork will deliver from above in the sky, Our brand new baby, a Gemini. June 8th is the day so save the date, When our two baby boys will have a new mate. Please join in the fun that's already begun, Will it be a sweet little daughter or another great son? So let the countdown begin, we're ready and able, But if this keeps up we'll have to add on a stable! |
| 1st Appointment November 2nd, 2004 7 weeks It's official, we are expecting our third baby. We met with the Dr. who weighed me, took blood work, my blood pressure, etc. We also got our first ultrasound and a look at our precious little slug, and its strong little heartbeat. Our expected due date is around June 17th, 2005. We will be having another scheduled c-section so we will have an exact day a few months before our due date. We can't wait to welcome our little Gemini! |
| 2nd Appointment December 6th, 2004 12 weeks 4 days At this appointment we realized that things will be much different this time around. Because there is ONLY one baby, we will not be getting as many ultrasounds - so we have to enjoy our 7 week picture for a while. Also, my appointments will be 4 weeks apart for the first 6 months or so - verses every 2-3 weeks with Aidan & Christian. We learned that we will be scheduling our c-section at 39 weeks which will be around June 9th. I also had my blood pressure checked, I was weighed and had blood drawn for genetic disease testing. And of course the highlight of the appointment was hearing our baby's very strong heartbeat. Everything is going perfectly. |

| 3rd Appointment January 3rd, 2005 16 weeks 4 days Today I got my results back from my blook work and all is normal. I was also weighed, had my blood pressure taken and my blood drawn for the AFP screening. The Dr then listened to the baby's heartbeat (strong as usual) and gave me a prescription for my Level II ultrasound in four weeks! So we finally get to see this baby. |

| 5th Appointment February 7th, 2005 21 weeks 5 days Today we had a quick appointment. I had my vitals and weight (up 6 pounds so far) checked - all were fine. Then we got to listen to the baby's heartbeat - sounds great! We also got the results from my AFP triple screen blood test as well as my ultrasound - everything was fine. This was my last appointment with this particular doctor, she is leaving the practice. My next appointment in 4 weeks will be with a new doctor and include my glucose test for gestational diabetes. |
| 6th Appointment March 8th, 2005 25 weeks 6 days All went well at this latest appointment. I had my vitals checked and my blood drawn for my glucose levels (to determine gestational diabetes) and for toxoplasmosis (because we have cats - thanks Lady and Oreo). I gained another 6 lbs and am now up a total of 12 lbs. The new Dr. was very nice and has her own set of twins - hers are girls. She agrees that I should in fact have a scheduled c-section so I'm sure in the next few appointments we'll be able to narrow down an actual birth date. I also filled out an information card to make an appointment at the hospital to pre-register. We got a quick listen to the heartbeat of this little one but it quickly moved away...a very active little squirt. At my next appointment I will be meeting with another Dr from this practice in case I go into labor and my Dr. is not available. My next appt is in four weeks. |
| 7th Appointment April 6th, 2005 30 weeks This was a quick appointment. I had my vitals and weight checked (I missed my weight...I'll get it next time) This latest Dr. was also very nice. He gave me my results from all the blood work I did last time. All is well. He listened to the baby's heartbeat - then moved the baby - then listened again and the heartrate went up. He said this is exactly what it is supposed to do. He asked if we had any questions and Shawn mentioned to him that we just did all this a few months ago so its all still fresh in our minds. He also said that he wanted me to make my appts every two weeks now that we're in the homestretch. |
| 12th Appointment June 2nd, 2005 38 weeks 1 day We are ready to go. Dr. said I am measuring perfectly and I'm ready to go! See ya June 8th! |
| 8th Appointment April 21st, 2005 32 weeks Another quick appointment. I had my vitals checked. She said I didn't gain any weight since my last appointment 2 weeks ago. I am up a total of 16 pounds. A quick listen to the heartbeat and a comment on how active the baby is from the doctor and we were on our way! |
| 9th Appointment May 2nd, 2005 33 weeks 5 days I had my vitals checked and gained another 3 pounds so I'm up a total of 19 - guess I'll start packing them on during these last few weeks. We got a listen to the heartbeat and talked about the delivery and began the process of choosing the date for the c-section. |
| 10th Appointment May 17th, 2005 35 weeks 6 days I had my vitals checked and was weighed - it appeared that I lost a pound or two - but I don't think the nurse was correct and she didn't have my records from my last visit. We met with a new Dr. who told us that the baby is head down and in position for delivery. Let's hope it stays put for 3 more weeks! I was also tested for Strep B and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat. I will now have appts every week. |
| 11th Apponintment May 23rd, 2005 36 weeks 5 days I had my vitals checked and I am up a total of 22 pounds!! So all is well. We met with another new Dr. who was wonderful and said everything looks good and showed us where the baby's feet, bum and head were - in perfect fetal position. One appt to go! |
