FFYNNON perform songs deeply rooted in the rhythm, traditions and landscapes of the British Isles.

LYNNE DENMAN
In the vanguard of the new, exciting breed of singers emerging in Wales today from the older non-eisteddfodic tradition.
Has sung and performed throughout Britain, Europe and N. E. Africa and appeared regularly on Welsh national television and radio.
Recently gave a short series of recitals in West Wales churches of sacred music from Britanny and Wales.
Acted as researcher and advisor in modern Celtic music at the Celtica Interpretative Centre in Machynlleth.
Was commissioned to sing with Julie Murphy on the recently published CD, 'English Songs of Love'.
In concert with 'Fretwork' in West Wales.
Performed at the 1998 Festival de Cinema de Douarnenez and the Kann al Loar, Landerneau, Britanny, with 'Sanfferian'.
Sings on a regular basis for the National Museum of Wales.

STACEY BLYTHE
Plays on a wide variety of instruments including accordion, cello, harpsichord, recorders, piano and voice.
Studied at the Welsh College of Music and Drama where she now lectures and runs workshops.
Recent collaborations include :
Research on traditional ballads with Frankie Armstrong.
Work with Meredith Monk amd premiering a new work by her at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London.
Compositions for a production of the Mabinogion.
A tour with the storyteller Michael Harvey culminating in a premier in Rome (British Council funded).
Accompaniment for George Melly at the Cole Porter Lecture, Dillington Hall, Somerset.
Currently working as composer on a new independent film.
Recent appearances on S4c's 'Clwb Gwerin' with Heather Jones.

DAVID REID
Plays six-string bass guitar.
Is a popular and active figure on the jazz scene in South East Wales and London, working with his own and the Bob Jones Jazz Trio. as well as with the London-based highly renowned Jazz-fusion guitarist and teacher Iain Scott.
Has worked regularly for TV and radio, both as a musician and as a presenter of music programmes and as a writer of satirical sketches and radio scripts.
Worked for six years with Meic Stevens a'i Fand, touring regularly in Britanny and Wales, from the Carhaix Festival to the 'Cnapan' and recording 'Life and Death' with Meic in 1989.
During the past two years he has written regular music and drama review columns for The Cardiff Post and The South Wales Echo.

On 19 February 2002 Lynne and David fly out to Jacksonville, Florida for a long weekend at a folk music convention in that city.
'FFYNNON' are very grateful to Wales Trade International and to 'Fflach cyf' for supporting this trip.
On their return Lynne and David are booked to appear at the Llantrisant Folk Club on Wednesday 27 February.
