Rantings
Some things in the world
just PISS ME OFF. So I will come here to tell
all.
If you have something you desperately want posted, send it in thru my email.
No guarantees about updates.
I won’t try to hide it. My site got hacked. That is what I get for making my password “easy to remember”. Oh well, I changed it now, plus I know who did it. One of my friends, I wont kill him. Thought about cussing him out, but I won’t. Today I got an invitation to join the ACLU. Think I will.
P.S. I am coming to get you, Danny Scheiffer. If you read this, you may already be a dead man! Or just injured, maybe have eggs thrown at your house. Maybe Ill just spam you. I guess not, sounds like a lot of work.

I watched a video I downloaded, “Winnie the Pooh worships Satan.” I think those people have too little time on their hands. Either that or they’ve been hitting the crack again. My money is with the crack.
In other news, Campy still hasn’t written out a story for me yet. I am posting my stories today. Read them.
If you want that video, which is funny, you can get it at www.consumptionjunction.com along with other stuff.

At last check Consumption Junction is down. I read before it went down that they were in need of cash, as service had become no longer free. If you want the above described video, you can contact me at ICQ: be warned I may not be particularly enthusiastic as I think it is about 6mb and I have a measly 56k connection.
My birthday is on May 11, 2000.

Consumption Junction is back up, school is out, and the site is updated! Yes! Next on list of things I might do is to set up a small page of downloads. Not much else, except its GREAT TO BE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and if you have anything you want to talk about or want posted on this site, feel free to email me!

Like I said, school is in session soon. Yay, back to the moron farm. Anyway, like I said I have been gone for a week or so, and this should detail the events of that week.
I
sailed aboard the ms Westerdam under the Holland America Line for the past
week.
1:
The Stops
Probably
the part of the cruise that was designed to be emphasized were the stops,
though I have a feeling that due to the 90+% senoir citizen population it didnt
turn out as much that way. Still, Ill go through them in order:
Juneau,
Alaska
The
'shore excursion' was a helicopter trip to a glacier, where we walked around
and looked at the glacier. The ice on a glacier is about 6x the density of
freezer ice. The blue color from the ice is really cool too. We had extra time,
so we also landed on an ice field. Anyone watch Star Trek 6, where Kirk and
McCoy are on the ice planet? That was filmed on a similar ice field, only we
had better weather. It was cool; snow as far as you could see, with towering
mountains and pillars in the distance... very cool. Used a whole roll of film
there. Juneau is also the capital of Alaska.
Skagway,
Alaska
One
of the 'gateway' cities for the Klondike Gold Rush, it was pretty cool. While
there, I walked downtown (not much, mostly just stores and historic buildings
owned by Park Service) and I met this old man who had lived there almost his
entire life (he came down to Oregon to work in shipyards during WW2) and told
us the abbreviated version of his life. He pointed out the house that his
family still owned, and told us of how Skagway really wasnt that isolated. Only
around 500 residents though. I also went to Liarsville, an amusing park where
they tell you of how the tent camp was set up, and how reporters who didnt want
to go on would sit in the camp and make up stories of the gold rush (hence the
name). Also a lot of jokes about the whores in Skagway and Liarsville... would
have been funny if my mother wasnt with
me. Saw salmon spawning in a little inlet by the dock, and a sea otter just
floating there... who proceeded to give us a clear view of the way an otter
craps in the sea before leaving. Lovely place.
Ketchikan,
Alaska
Truthfully,
I was too lazy to go walking some more, but from what I saw it was mostly
shopping. My mother went walking though... she reported similar details. Not
much there. Sunny day though.
2:
The ship
The
ship spent a fair amount of time at sea, so of course there were things to do.
There were shows, and a movie theater, and lounges and what not...
The
movie theater was actually fairly good. The sound system was a little scratchy,
but it worked well. I have seen much worse theatres, and for a place with
limited space, I thought it was excellent.
Never
a shortage of food and it is all free. The lobster was especially good. Buffet
lines for Breakfast and Lunch, restaurant style for dinner. Dress code varied
from Formal to Casual.
Pools
and Jacuzzis. Deck chairs, shuffleboard. What you would expect on a cruise
ship. Some video games.
The
workers were all very kind and treated you with the utmost of respect. They
loved the teenagers, especially since it's mostly old people. They gave some of
us cigarettes (not me, I dont smoke), which could easily have gotten them
fired.
3:
My friends
I
'discovered' them on the second or third day, when I decided to join them in
the activities scheduled. The director was kinda cute. The activities werent as
boring as I thought they might be, and if we didnt like it we would do
something else.
Most
of them were nice enough, but a couple of them were assholes. Not unexpected at
all. We all tended to group together and wander the ship, popping in for the
movie or hanging around on the deck or in a lounge.
Strangely
enough, a few of them looked VERY similar to people I know from school...
almost to the point that I could have mistaken them if they didnt have
different hair or other such details. I thought it very funny to think about
what if it were a dream, and then I would wake up like in Wizard of Oz and
friends would be around me and I would say "and you were there, and you
were there...". I was sleep deprived at the time.
