One should avoid trying to imagine the reality of the Divine attributes , nor should he disacknowledge them lest he falls in disbelief , and join the ranks of those sects who disacknowledged the Creator and His attributes and rendered Him an idol.) Allah the exalted is gracious and Merciful , Who delivers His believing slaves and supports them. The disbelievers on the on the other hand, He leaves bereft of aid , punishes , exacts vengeance upon , deceives and draws to destruction little by little. Allah the Most High speaks to His slaves as He wishes. He descends and comes closer to His slaves as He wills ( Abu Hurairah narrated: " Allah's Apostle said :Every night when it is the last third of the night , our Lord , th Supreme , the Blessed descends to the nearest heaven and says: ' Is there anyone to invoke Me that I may respond to his invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me that I may grant his request ? Is there anyone asking my Forgiveness so that I may forgive him ? Narrated by Bukhari.) . He has a face , a hand , a shank, and a foot. Yet none of the attributes of His essence resmbles those of human beings " There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing , the All-Seeing" Quran: 42.10 Allah , Praise be to Him, is the Omnipotent , and there is nothing to frustrate His power or ability to attain or accomplish anything, nor does the preservation of the heavens and earth burden Him. There is no strength nor power to do anything except by means of Him. Allah the Supreme is Benignent, Generous with His bounty. He confers benefits and favours upon His slaves. There is neither a gift nor a grace but from Him, and there is none who can repel or withhold His bounties." And whatever grace you have, it is from Allah." Quran:16.52 Allah the Glorious is far greater than to be encompassed by the knowledge of His creatures , and there is no reign which can surpass His. No one can praise as well as Allah praises Himself, nor is there any who can comprehend the essence of Alaah as Allah does THE WISDOM BEHIND CREATION Allah the All-Wise did not create angels , jinn and mankind , heavens and earth but to worship( " I have only created jinn and men to worship Me" Quran: 51.56 ), praise ( Praising Allah is an act of worship ; Allah confirms that all His creatures perform this act of worship . His words signifying: " The seven heavens and the earth and all being therein declare His Glory . There is not a thing but celebrates His praise , but you understand not [ how they] celebrate His praise " Quran: 17.44) , and glorify Him in their own way. Anyone who refrains from glorifying or worshipping Allah , be it an angel, a jinn or a human being , Allah casts out and curses him , and whoso contends with Allah's Divinity and calls others to worship him, Allah shall curse and punish him. The only form of worship accepted by Allah is the fulfillment of His commands , whether approved by reason or otherwise , absolute obedience, humility and love for Him. Allah shall accept none other than the religion of Islam from angels , jinn or men " If anyone desires a religion other than Islam never will it be accepted of him and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers."Quran : 3.85. Islam is submission to Allah by being obedient to Him , and by making one's will subservient to His. Upon bringing into existence the creation , Allah appotioned for everything ( including angels, jinn, and men ) their means of subsistence and asssigned to each its mansion and habitat , and made each cleave to it. |
