The boy's name we have chosen is Rhys Jamison. I chose the name Rhys. We wanted the middle name to start with J. So, Daryl chose the name Jamison.

| 01/11/01 - I had an ultrasound today because of spotting. We saw the baby and a heartbeat. They used the u/s to date my pregnancy. (7 weeks) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 01/30/01 - 9:30am First prenatal appointment. This is just a history appointment. Molly (my midwife) said I am a candidate for the birthing center. I weighed... well never mind what I weighed!! | 02/06/01 - 11am I had another ultrasound today due to some more spotting. Once again, we saw the baby and a heartbeat. My dates are still accurate. (10 weeks 6 days) |

| 02/13/01 - 10:30am Second prenatal appointment. I haven't gained any weight since my last appointment. Molly couldn't find a heartbeat, so I have to come back next week. (11 weeks 6 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 02/21/01 - 11:15am Third prenatal appointment. I have lost 1/2 lb since last week. We heard the baby's heartbeat with a doppler. Dr. R said I'll be having another ultrasound around 28 weeks to check my placenta. We discussed pelvic reconstructive surgery, weaning Keiran, and testing for GBS. | 03/20/01 - 1:15pm Fourth prenatal appointment. I have gained 2-1/2 lbs since my last visit. My total weight gain is 2 lbs. Dr. S commented on my history of preterm labor and said I will be tested for GBS at 28 weeks. I had the AFP test today. (16 weeks 6 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 04/02/01 - I called the office to get my AFP test results. The nurse said that it came back negative. So, everything looks ok. (18 weeks 5 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 04/17/01 - 11am Fifth prenatal appointment. I have gained 2-1/2 lbs since my last visit. My total weight gain is 4-1/2 lbs. Molly went over the tests they're going to run at 28 weeks (gestational diabetes, GBS, fetal Fibronectin). We also took belly pictures today. | 05/15/01 - 11:30am Sixth prenatal appointment. I have gained 1-1/2 lbs since my last visit. My total weight gain is 6 lbs. I am measuring 27 cm, so Dr. S wants to go ahead and order an ultrasound. The heartbeat was in the 150's. (24 weeks 6 days) |

| 06/04/01 - 7:45am I had an ultrasound today. It's a boy! I'm measuring 8 days further along than I am. He is head down with his face facing my back. His head is near my left hip and his bottom is near my right ribcage. His legs are tucked up under his bottom. I didn't get to see his face because of his position. They estimated the current weight at 2 lbs 12 oz (+/- 6 oz). I really don't rely on that much since it's known to be inaccurate. (27 weeks 5 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 06/11/01 - 11am Seventh prenatal appointment. I have gained 2 lbs since my last visit. My total weight gain is 8 lbs. I am measuring 29 cm. | 06/29/01 - 11:30am Eighth prenatal appointment. I finally broke down and switched doctors. I met with the new doctor's midwife today. I think I'm going to like them much better. I have gained 1/2 lb since my last visit. My total weight gain is 8-1/2 lbs. (31 weeks 2 days) |

| 07/11/01 - 9am I had two more ultrasounds today. I was an OB model for ultrasound students at a local medical school. They still say it's a boy. He is still head down with his face facing my back. This time, his head is near my right hip and his bottom is near my left ribcage. His legs are tucked up by his belly. I got to see his face today. We also saw him breathing and sucking. They gave me two current weight estimates. The first group estimated 5 lbs 9 oz. The second group estimated 4 lbs 15 oz. I still don't rely on these too much. | 07/13/01 - 11:10am Ninth prenatal appointment. I have gained 1 lb since my last visit. My total weight gain is 9-1/2 lbs. Lisa tested me for GBS again. We discussed ligament pain and signs of preterm labor. (33 weeks 2 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 07/23/01 - 2pm Tenth prenatal appointment. I met with my new doctor for the first time today. I really like him alot. I haven't gained any weight since my last visit. My second GBS test came back negative. I talked to him about the ligament pain. He checked for the baby's position and said it's because his head is so low. I'm measuring 39cm, so he thinks it'll be a big baby. He thinks definitely over 8 lbs. (34 weeks 5 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 08/3/01 - Contractions started tonight around 6:30pm. They were about 8 minutes apart for about 1/2 hour. Then they went to about 4-5 minutes apart. But, they weren't painful. We went to Meijer and picked up some last minute items for the suitcase. I called Lisa around 10:45pm. She said to guzzle 8 oz. of water and take a warm bath. When I got out, they were back at 8-10 minutes apart. So, I laid down to monitor them and fell asleep. I had a few that woke me up in the middle of the night, but was able to go back to sleep. Around 11am the next morning, they just stopped. (36 weeks 2 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 08/8/01 - 1:20pm Eleventh prenatal appointment. I have gained 1/2 lb since my last appointment. I am 10 lbs over my starting weight. My iron level was fine. My urine had blood in it. So, they had me leave another sample to be sent to the lab. The nurse said it could just be from my cervix dilating and that Lisa would probably want to check my cervix. When Lisa came in, she asked why I wanted to be checked. I told her because of the blood in the urine and the contractions I had last week. She double checked that I was GBS negative before she checked me. My cervix is very thin, but still long. I am dilated 4 cm externally and 1 cm internally. We discussed labor signs that would warrant a call to her. She said if my water breaks without contractions, I can stay home 12-16 hours. Then, I would have to go to L&D. | 08/14/01 - 7:10am Twelfth prenatal appointment. My urine culture came back fine. I am dilated a definite 3 cm now. Dr. G stripped my membranes without my permission. He mentioned doing it while he was doing it. Daryl told him I didn't want it done, but it was too late. (37 weeks 6 days) |

| The girl's name we have chosen is Tiana Lynne. We chose this because my name is Tina and Daryl's middle name is Lynn. We added an extra letter to each and we got Tiana Lynne. We had this same name picked out for Bailey and Keiran. The boy's name we have chosen is Rhys Jamison. I chose the name Rhys. We wanted the middle name to start with J. So, Daryl chose the name Jamison. |
