America's Christian Heritage
An eight-part series
In about 1980 I began studying the Christian roots of
America and was surprised at all the evidence. Feeling impressed to share this then
little-known information with others, I assembled enough facts for a two-hour lecture and
began speaking on the subject, with visual aids, to churches, civic groups and military
installations, including an audience once at the Pentagon. I have also written on the
subject and in 1992 was privileged to win a coveted Amy Award for a published newspaper
article.
Below are links to a multiple-part series of articles I have written which I hope will be
informative and inspirational to you.
The ancient Israelites would often remember and recite what God had done for them. It is a good idea for us, to remember that the source of our blessings is God and not ourselves, and that if we turn from Him we will lose them. The evidence shows that as a nation, we have turned from Him.
Is it too late? That is the question of the hour. The promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 is still in effect; yet, there are many signs indicating that we are extremely close to what the Lord Jesus called "the end of the age." (*See note below.) We cannot be sure, but God's use of America to help fulfill the Great Commission may be coming to a close. But in the interim, let us pray, and walk humbly with our God, confident that He is in control.

* NOTE: Because I love America and am patriotic, I have been ambivalent on the subject of whether or not it is too late for this country. However, in about 1995 I felt led to painfully write about what I saw as God's coming judgment on America and how it may fit into end-time prophecy concerning Israel. I saw this judgment as inevitable and which could not be stopped, for reasons explained. After recent review and reflection, I must stand by that general message. For that 1995 article, click here.
