January 14, 2000
The below was copied from a Charles Capps tract and sent
to me by a friend:
"January 2000 will begin the closing year of the sixth millennium, at least
as for as our calendar in concerned. The new millennium will dawn upon us
January 1st, 2001. In my pamphlet several months ago entitled, "Your Y2K
Decisions," I mentioned that the year 2000 could possibly be the year of
the Rapture of the Church and the transition into the Tribulation period.
But only time itself will give a clear answer to this matter.
"There are those who have predicted a worldwide computer meltdown for the
year 2000 while others have said there is too much hype concerning the Y2K
problem. You probably know by now which scenario was correct. Regardless
of the outcome, we know that God is Y2K compliant - and if we abide in His
Word and His Word abides in us - then we should be also.
"The ninth chapter of Daniel reveals that there is one seven year
Sabbatical cycle which must be fulfilled here on earth before Christ sets
up the seventh millennium of Righteous rule here on planet Earth. That
seven year cycle is what is know as the Tribulation period or Daniel's 70th
week. Since it is the last seven years of Daniel's 70th week (of years),
it would seem that it must begin at the beginning of a Sabbatical cycle.
The next Sabbatical cycle seems to be in the fall of the year 2000. Will
the Church be caught up in the Rapture and Tribulation beginning on earth
in the year 2000? No one knows for sure, but if the Tribulation period
does not begin at the beginning of the next Sabbatical cycle, then that
would seem to indicate that our calendar is off by as much as seven years
or more.
"September 10, 2000 is the date that has been set for the finalization of
the Mid-East Peace Agreement. All of these things look very suspicious in
the light of Bible prophecy. But whether these things happen in the year
2000 or beyond - I encourage you to develop a habit of confessing God's
Word on a daily basis during this great end-time harvest.
