Billy Graham delivered a gospel message in Nashville last weekend -- as he has for more
than 50 years.
...His body frail but his voice steady, the 81-year-old patriarch spoke to an estimated
227,000 people during a four-night campaign at Adelphia Coliseum.
...Nearly 9,000 people responded to his invitations to come down to the field and dedicate
their lives to Jesus Christ, the Nashville Tennessean said. The stadium is the home of the
Tennessee Titans professional football team.
...The famous evangelist warned people to prepare for God's judgment. On the final
night of the rally, he spoke about the end of the world, destruction of the earth under
God's judgment, and the return of Jesus Christ. Graham referred to the Bible's story of
Noah, who built an ark to survive a world flood, to illustrate God's judgment of evil
humanity.
..."Something has happened to our moral life - the bottom has dropped out. We need an
outpouring of the Spirit of God, and we need Jesus to be lifted up so that people will be
conscious only
of Him," Graham said.
..."God means business," Graham said. "He's pronounced judgment of us if we
don't repent for our sins." Jesus Christ is "going to come again -
that's the hope of the world. I see no other hope...."
(Amen, Billy!)
