Another John 3:16 confirmation?

On May 15, I reported a telephone call from Dr. Armando Pardillo, who said, "Jim, the other day I had a wonderful confirmation from God. About one week ago, last sunday, I spoke to Ron Reese about all the signs related to HIS coming. We talked about all concerning the Oct. 23, 1998 confirmation treaty and the possible Rapture during early June of this year. That night, as I was going to sleep, my wife and I prayed and asked God that if all of the recent revelations given to us was true, to give us a sign or confirmation. During the night I woke up to go to the bathroom as I normally do at around 5:30 A.M. Not knowing the time, I looked at the radio clock and it read, 3:16. This inmediately reminded me of John 3:16 and the petition we asked for concerning the confirmation."

On May 19, I received two e-mails from Joe. D. McMurry who amazingly reported a similar incident. He reiterated Armando's story, and said, "This is my story, I have also been praying for a sign or confirmation regarding the return of Jesus. Last night, (early Wed. morning) I woke up and looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table,......It read 3:16!.... The are no odds for this, I believe this is truly a sign from GOD that we searching Christians are soon to be in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." May God Bless You and all your faithful readers!"

In a follow-up e-mail, he said, "What I did not explain very well in my previous memo is that I had not told anyone about the reading the article (about Armando), not even my wife. The only one who knew at the time was God, Jesus, and The Holy Ghost. I believe God gave me a sign that he knew I would understand. When I did tell my wife prior to get up, I felt the presence of the Holy Ghost move me. To me it's a feeling similar to having butterflies, a overwhelming feeling of joy and tears in my eyes."

Bramlett note: The odds of waking up at exactly 3:16 a.m. are not extremely large; however, that it would happen three days apart to two seekers who both had prayed does seem significant. If one is to wake up sometime between midnight and 6 a.m., that is six hours, or 6 X 60 = 360 minutes. So there is a 1 in 360 chance. Not huge but significant. But God does not work based on man's probability theory. He works sovereignly! And both these seeking, godly men sensed it was a confirmation from the Holy Spirit.

THAT is what is significant!
