5758/1008 and al-Qaeda

I believe I have found something confirming about my message yesterday concerning the year 1998 sandwiched between Jewish years 5758 and 5760, all three with prophetic implications. (By the way, the second URL I sent yesterday about 1998 had a period at the end which needs to be removed for the link to work.)

As I mentioned

* 5758 means "season of Noah." (It overlaps with 1998.)

* Jesus said His return would be "as in the days of Noah."

* In the days of Noah, the earth was filled with violence (Genesis 613).

* I suggested that "demons of violence were unleashed that very year (5758/1998), such as through the demonic al-Qaeda, no doubt an evil, end-time force in the world." With further thought, I am convinced that the demonic, murderous and merciless al-Qaeda is the embodiment of end-time violence as it was in the days of Noah. The world has always had violence, and many Americans murder other Americans, also true with other nations, but there has never been a more widespread, organized effort at violence than what we are seeing now through radical Islam.

Last evening I decided to do some research on this to see if there was a correlation with al-Qaeda and the year 1998. I was surprised at what I found. This is from a Web site on the subject, http//www.fas.org/irp/world/para/ladin.htm

"In February 1998, Bin Laden announced the creation of a new alliance of terrorist organizations, the 'World Islamic Front for Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders.' The Front included the Egyptian al-Gama'at al-Islamiyya, the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, the Harakat ul-Ansar, and two other groups. The Front declared its intention to attack Americans and our allies, including civilians, anywhere in the world. By at least February 1998, the Egyptian Islamic Jihad had effectively merged with al Qaeda and joined with al Qa'ida in targeting American civilians."

"On February 22, 1998, Bin Laden issued a fatwah stating that it is the duty of all Muslims to kill Americans. This fatwah read, in part, that 'in compliance with God's order, we issue the following fatwah to all Muslims the ruling to kill the Americans and their allies, including civilians and military, is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it.' This fatwah appears to have provided the religious justification for, and marked the start of logistical planning for, the U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.

"In February 1998, Usama Bin Ladin and one of his top lieutenants and leader of the Al-Jihad organization in Egypt, Ayman Al Zawahiri, endorsed a fatwah under the banner of the 'International Islamic Front for Jihad on the Jews and Crusaders.' This fatwah, published in the publication Al-Quds al-Arabi on February 23, 1998, stated that Muslims should kill Americans -- including civilians -- anywhere in the world where they can be found. In or about April 1998, one of the defendants in the East Africa trial, Mohamed Sadeek Odeh, discussed the fatwahs issued by Bin Ladin and Al-Qaeda against America with another defendant, Mustafa Mohamed Fadhil. This discussion took place in Kenya."

Do you see the significance of 5758/1998 above? In addition to that, I checked a world almanac on significant events that happened in 5758/1998 and found:

1. Just four days before year 5758 (the season of Noah) began, "Militant Taliban leaders seized Kabul, Afghanistan."

2. In the first month of year 5758, "Iraq expels U.S. members of UN inspection team."

3. Europeans agree on a single currency.

4. Both India and Pakistan conduct atomic tests.

5. U.S. embassies in Kanya and Tanzania bombed.

6. U.S. cruise missiles hit targets in Sudan and Afghanistan.

While its true origin dates back several years earlier, the year 5758/1998 saw what seems to be the official coalescing and arising of the serpentine head of the violent al-Qaeda terrorist network on the world scene. Accordingly, it seems clear that this year marked the beginning of the "season of Noah" when the earth will be filled with violence, and was a watershed year in pointing to the soon coming of the Prince of Peace. There will be no peace until He comes. We are no doubt in a countdown and the time is short.
