Alas, Ascencion Day

Dear friends

Alas, Ascension Day (May 9) 2002 has come and gone and nothing visibly has happened. However, don't write it off.

I spoke with Dr. Swanson this morning and he is as undaunted and as excited as ever, believing he only made a minor error, and is still calculating and looking up! I told him the Lord probably has a special Crown of Persistence waiting for him.

A good friend and fellow watchman reminded me this morning that God is the Master Mathematician and does nothing by accident or randomly. He believes all the amazing numbers and correlations discovered by Swanson pointing to May 9 were not by accident and did, indeed, signal something, perhaps in the spirit realm only, but very real.

As I was meditating on this while lying in bed during the wee hours last night, the thought came to me just out of nowhere that everything pointed to May 9 as the beginning of a countdown, possibly a very short countdown.

"He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved" (Hebrews 1037-39, NIV).

Do not shrink back!
