DISCOVERY: May 9, 2002 and # 234!
Dear friends:
The other day I wrote about the possible prophetic significance of Ascension Day, May 9,
2002, summarizing the extensive studies of Dr. Glen Swanson.
While driving to the store today, I thought about the possible relevance of the amazing
number 234 that I have written about since 1994. For your review, below is a summary. It
seems the number 234 is definitely associated with the Lord's return and the end times,
and I have always felt that there would someday be some specific connection or clue. I
purposed when I got back home to get out my calendars and do some checking to see if there
would be a connection between May 9, 2002 and the number 234.
The first thing I did when I got home was to grab my calendars. It was like I was
compelled to do this, like a strong inner unction. Then after I checked, my mouth dropped
open in sheer amazement. I could not believe my eyes. I was startled to discover that May
9, 2002 is exactly DAY 234 -- yes, DAY 234 -- of the current Jewish year, 5762, which
began on Rosh Ha Shanah, September 18, 2001 -- right on the money! That was an absolutely
stunning discovery. As I write this I am still aghast.
The number 234 was first noted in the ending of Vincent Tan's second angel encounter on
December 23, 1993. Vincent had helped an old man (angel) get his truck started. During
their conversation, the old man (angel) himself brought up the subject of Christ's return,
saying, "HE IS COMING VERY, VERY SOON." The purpose of this divine incident was
no doubt to deliver that six-word message from heaven, which by God's grace and provision
has now circulated around the world many times. Here is the last portion of the carefully
documented story in part:
____________________
The man said, "Thank you very much for your help. By the way, I left a small token
for you. It will be enough to fill up your car tomorrow." That was strange, because
there was no way for the man to know that Vincent had a car in addition to his truck.
Vincent followed him about a mile with the man's tail lights clearly in view, then as they
were going around a curve, he suddenly vanished from view. He and his truck just
disappeared. Thinking his vision may have been obstructed by trees or something, Vincent
even went back the next day during the daylight and retraced everything. There were no
trees or anything obstructing his view. There was no human explanation. Also the next day,
as he always does on Friday, Vincent took his car to the service station to fill up the
tank with gasoline, so it would be full for the weekend. He had forgotten what the man had
said about leaving a token "to fill up your car tomorrow." Vincent put $2.32
worth of gas in his car, then tried to round it off to $2.35 or $2.40. But he could only
get it up to $2.34 and it stopped. It just would not take more than exactly $2.34. Vincent
then left to visit a friend's house, but remembered that he had left the friend's
Christmas gift in his truck, so he went back home. When home, Vincent decided to clean his
truck a bit before leaving. While doing so, he found some money on the front seat,
passenger's side, underneath his glove. The money consisted of two one-dollar bills, a
quarter, a nickel, and four pennies -- exactly $2.34!"

Because of this supernatural incident, the number 234 has intrigued me since 1994. The
angel did not decide on the precise $2.34 -- God did. The angel was just under orders from
his Commander. And nothing God does is by accident. He is not arbitrary. I have wondered
what that number might mean and of all numbers available why God chose those digits.
Assuming the gas tank could have been "topped off" at somewhere between $2.00
and $15.00, the odds against exactly $2.34 were great. In past years there has been much
speculation about this by Internet friends.
An example is the October 23, 1998 Wye Agreement between Israel and the PLO. Ron Reese
reported the agreement was actually signed at exactly 2:34 p.m. (EDT, the time zone where
it was signed). Also, Ron says at that very same minute there was an unusual sign in the
heavens: Saturn (Satan) came closest to earth and brightest in 20 years, in the sign of
Pisces (Israel), and in conjunction with constellation Cetus (Antichrist). He says the
odds against all this happening at the same minute, at 2:34 p.m. by mere coincidence, were
more than 10 million to 1.
Here are some more interesting things about the numbers 234:
1. Revelation 13:18 is the verse which says the number of the beast (antichrist) is 666.
And 13 X 18 = 234!
2. The digital root of 234, 2 + 3 + 4 = 9, the biblical number of finality.
3. Both the number 234 and 153 are embedded in the number 666 (153 is the number for the
harvest and a number that Dr. Swanson recently discovered as a consistent thread in Bible
chronology).
6 = 1 + 5
6 = 3 + 3
6 = 2 + 4
One day while meditating on all this, I decided to check on key antichrist passages both
in the Old Testament and also in the New Testament. The classic Old Testament passage I
checked was Daniel 9:26-27. To my shock, I discovered that 9 X 26 = 234, and 9 X 27 = 243!
The classic New Testament antichrist passage I checked was 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 and I was
shocked again at the 2-3-4 sequence! Another antichrist passage is in 1 John, which is
book # 23 in the New Testament. Guess what chapter? Chapter 4! So again we have 23:4!
Thinking about this after I left church one day, my head was swimming with all these
thoughts about 234, the coming of the Lord and the antichrist. On the way home, I stopped
at a sub shop for lunch. When I got to the cash register, I was stunned when they told me
my bill, plus tax, was -- and I'm not making this up -- it was exactly $6.66.
And now we have May 9, 2002 as DAY 234 of the Jewish year. Whew! I need some fresh air.
